Default When is the new 2006 scion tc coming out?

I just wanted to know if anyone knew when they were gonna start selling the 2006's. I reqally want to get a tc, but I don't want to get a first year one, I' rather get a 2nd year one, that way maybe they'd work out all of the bugs. hopefully they'll start selling them soon.

Try probably Oct 05, that's when most new cars come out. Right?

Well, I believe this first year tC is pretty bug free.
How many have been sold so far?

I've laid out 16k miles on mine in the past 5 months. No problems

Go to a car audio store. Ask for whatever kind of foam or whatever they use to keep the trunks from rattling on well-done car audio systems. That should take care of it. Just a thought.

Most new cars don't come out until the end of the year. I think the only reason it was released earlier was because it was new and they wanted to see how well it was going to take.

Take your car to the dealership. It's covered.

The tC is reletively problem-free for being a first year car (also being based off another car helped that), so I say buy one now. You know there is always something better/faster/cheaper/nicer/etc. "just around the corner", so if you are always waiting you will never get anything. I say buy one now and enjoy it.

Thats what I am going to do.

There won't be a difference between a late 05 tc and an early 06 tc......The last MY 05 and the first MY 06 will be right next to each other on the assembly line....nothing changes, except for the ID tag that follows the cars through the line. One says MY 05 and one says MY 06.

Of course I'm talking in the way of fixing problems...there might be some new options or more toys or something, but as far as fixing fit/finish issues or other 'bugs' nothing will change from a late model 05.

And they did start selling the cars (some as early as 6/23)....My quess would be that they start the next model year around the same time, but that's only a guess....Production usually does begin around the fall time for model years though...

the only thing that might get fixed, with fingers crossed, for the '06, is that they might make the paint a little higher quality...i don't see any major flaws in the first year edition though, it's a pretty decently made car

it's possible that Scion did the same trick Mazda does with new models. they release it super early and create an "extended" first model year. thus, 2005 tCs are sold from june 2004 through the end of 2005. Mazda released the Miata in 1989 as a 1990 model, then did the same thing again in early 1998 for the 1999 model. it is some kind of accounting amortization thing to help spread out the development costs over more budget years.

i agree -- just buy a tC when you are ready. if there are no known model changes coming, don't wait.
