Where is the cheapest place to buy replacement air filter?
Online sites or in store? Give options please. Jiffy Lube has been saying I need to replace it but they don't carry the air filter. I have yet to replace it and now I am breathing dirt!

Stay away from Fram filters though.

Can't wait to see what it does. My gas mileage has been going down recently (now around 27-28 mpg). It was in the 30's. I saw the air filter last week and it was black. I assume it is supposed to be white as it was toward the ends of it. I kept everything stock and considered a CAI many times. But I think with gas prices the way they are, one would have to be an idiot to put a CAI into a tC.

I got an air filter for less than $9. I opened the hood up but don't know where to put it. Can someone give me a link that has pictures of how to replace the air filter? I have been trying for like 15 minutes

How did you know the filter was black, but you don't know where the filter is?

And the guy above you, if I didn't find out in time, I might of tried that hehe!
I know cars, but I just don't know where air filters go. :D

You can pick up an K&N Filter and then you will only have to clean it out every 50K or so.
I found mine on Amazon.com for around $25.
I am getting ready to put a CAI in instead, so my K&N will be available for sale if anyone is interested.

I had to clean my K&N after about 5k miles of use. It wasn't a drop in filter, it was a CAI. And my quad filter lasts about 50-100 miles before it needs to be cleaned and re-oiled. K&N blows.
