They make a lot of different models in Mexico. Those cars are consider to have less problems. Nissan will soon sell Mexican made sentras in Japan. WEIRD!!!

Toyota will soon have a plant in Mexico. Most of these new plants utilized less human labor and more robotics. I really dont care where it is made, I care more of how it is made and how reliable it is.

Tsutsumi plant, built in 1970. The same plant the Windom (aka ES330), JDM Camry, Caldina, Allion, Premio, Prius, and Wish

Wow, that's a really harsh response for a perfectly valid question. Jesus. I'm sure he knew Toyota made Scion. And I'm sure he knew Toyota is from Japan. What's your point? Just because Volkwagen made your New Beetle doesn't mean it's from Germany. In fact, chances are it's from Mexico.

Chill.

Actually, cars that are made in Mexico, and the States (USA) are *more* problematic than cars shipped from Aichi Japan for example (where the tC is fully assembled). The Japanese have a zero-defect gaurantee that they try to implement in North America, but doesnt work as well due to Unions... which I think is a bunch of people who work for work, not because they necessarily enjoy what they do. In Japan, they work as a family and take great pride in everything they do... Aside from that, I had a VW Jetta that was built in Mexico... was a lemon, got exchanged for another car... literally didnt start, wouldnt shift out of gear, etc. Then I purchased a 2002 Camry before my Japanese built S2000... the Camry had mismatched headlight assemblies, one was the black out sport one (which I had ordered) and the other was the regular one... built in USA. The only car I havent seen one single prob in with was the Japanese built S2k...

oh, and btw, the only reason they would sell the Sentra's from here is because the assembly line is already set up in North America... I highly doubt the Sentra's would be sold in Japan, because theyre built to cater to the West... in the MANY years the Sentra's been around, it didnt exist in Japan

Ihad a Japanese made Nissan Hardbody truck that went for 300k miles before a teenager hit me almost head on. Then I purchased a Toyota truck that was assembled in California. It turned out to be a lemon--bad lifters, wrong rotors installed, etc.

My 94' camry [made in Japan] is still going strong at 200k with absolutely no problems. There seems to be a pattern here...

Yes the Nissan Sunny is the Sentra. . . well the last gen Sentra/Infiniti G20. The new Sentra is completely different, and I believe not available in Japan. . .
Last I checked, the Altima was not available in Japan either.
