I had my Scion ground effects kit, rear lip spoiler, iPod upgrade, and supercharger all installed by my dealer.

I had my window tint installed by a local shop.

I had my leather and seat heaters installed by AutoTrim Design Seattle.

All I can claim as my own installs are the fog lights, LED tails, rear bumper applique, strut bar, autodimming mirror, and TRD quickshifter.

Just about any mod can be completed by a noobie, with enough research. How do you think profesionals started? They had to learn. I have done all the following work on my tC:

-Intake, Header, Exhaust
-Leather seates, door panels
-Shocks, Springs, Sways
-Entire car fully Dynamated
-Shortshifter, tCover
-Mounting spoiler (not paint though because I have no booth)

When you install yourself, you save money and you know it was done right. Just do your homework and only pay people to do what you don't have the tools to do.

hmm... lets see. I went to abtelectronics to get my stereo system and get it installed. I got my led's swapped by Chris from SE:Detroit. And I put in the strutbar, CAI, and painted the gauge needles myself.

All me to an extent. I don't have anything done to my car with out getting my own hands dirty. I've done every mod on my car but my LSD,clutch, flywheel. I paid Miyuki Motorsports to do it, but I got my hands dirty helpin out. One of my stipulations. I don't want a discount or anything like that cause i assisted or helped. Just want to get my own hands dirty when it comes to my car.

Axle-back is cake, if you can get under the car. Took me 10 minutes.
I had the guys at my dealership install the supercharger and quickshifter. I had the tint done, too. I tried that once....ONCE!

Well, I just added my DC Strut Bar to the list of intallations I've got under my belt. It was easy! Pop out clips, lift the black thingy, loosen bolts, jack up, get the nuts off, slide the bar on, tighten the bolts, lower the car again, replace clips!

Only trip-up was when one of the four cowl clips broke, but who cares.
