I've been thinking of getting the set... I've wanted the FIG grilles, but direct OEM replacement for nearly the same price sounds kind of nice.

 

yea they look good, but i love the Fig Grills, i have the top and bottom pair in powdered coted black and people can't get enough of them. I love it.

just go to home depot, buy some mesh or whatever material you want, and make it ur self....you could do both upper and lower for less than 20 bux, including glue and ____.

IMO anyways... unless there's some need to custom fab one b/c of a body kit or something (and even most of those look absolutely terrible when using some gutter guard material.

 

how is that rice? i actually love mine, i don't think one could tell that i made it myself, and also, it's one of a kind, and no 50 other people are going to drive aroudn with one that looks just like that.

 

Yours isn't bad, really. But it looks you actually took some time to do it right and made it different - which is good. I've just seen too many people buy some gutter guard and cut a piece to fit, zip tie it in, and call it a day. That's a pretty common practice around here (not necessarily Scions, but "tuners" in general here).

 

yea....i've seen that done too..i took the time to bend it right and cut off the holders of the old grill, and then glue with this, so it actually snaps in like the stock grill...

It's really just the way you see it..take your stock grill, and take a look how it mounts...cut off the mounts so it still have the grill shape, and in 1 piece..so basically just coutout the middle...then go get some type of material, i got mine at home depot, gutter guards....and then either glue it on, or zip tie it...of course you're going to take a long time cutting and bending the gutter guard to fit right on the mount you cut from the stock grill...if i ever get a chance to take mine out again, i'll take some pictures...
