Default Why do I have such freak'n bad luck?!!!?

So, in March, someone did a 180 on the interstate and I slammed into them. I traded in my '05 tc at the end of July b/c it just never drove right again.

So now I have an '08 tc and last night some mother in an 18-wheeler rolled back and hit me on the SAME FREAKIN INTERSTATE!!! We were at a complete stop, and I was not even stopped close to him because I was waiting for a clearance to get in the next lane over. The jerk never gives any indication he's getting over to the shoulder but instead continues to creep along with the rest of traffic (meanwhile, I'm continuously blowing my horn and flashing my lights at him). I had to park my car and run up to bang on his door to tell him to pull over in the middle of the freakin interstate. Not smart, I know, but I was not letting him get away.

Well, I think I should have let him go, because once we got on the shoulder he's like "Oh, there's no damage. I give you my phone number in case you see something in the morning." Yeah, no. He kept arguing and arguing with me and ends up telling me "You talk nice to me. I no Mother *&*(^ with you. You hit me" So, I go up to the officer and ask him if the guy told him that, and he's like "Yes, yes he did." By this point I'm in tears and arguing with the truck driver and the cop. No one got a ticket, and the @#%hole's insurance company will probably fight. So, I'm probably stuck with a scratched up, dented bumper.

I love my tc but I think this is a sign... Sorry for the novel, but I really needed to vent.

Oh, I did want to ask you guys a question, though. Do you think I should file a complaint against the guy with the company on his truck?

In most cases in accicents with comercial vehicals they are found at fault unless it is provable that they did nothing..........like a witness that says they saw you run into him...........

Absolutely file a complaint.

Also, give me his truck number and company name, I'll also file a complaint. Of course you'll have to tell us the location and time and we'll be your "witnesses".

I saw it happen. No joke. The tC was just stopped there and the 18-wheeler rolled backwards. Definitely the truck driver's fault.

Unfortunately, I have to take that interstate (I-285). It goes around Atlanta to get me to (I-75). Otherwise, it'd increase my commute by at least an hour. Yeah, it really sucks.

You know, the freakin truck didn't even have a phone number on it! No wonder...

Good Luck hope you get your tC fixed. My sister has bad luck with her SW tC hit & run and ran over a huge tire in the middle of the road at night. One of the reasons why i got HID's lol

Sorry to hear that, I thought I was the one with bad luck or no luck.

When we had rain a few weeks ago in RIchmond, VA the traffic on i95 was stopped near the ramp from 195 and everybody seemed shocked it was raining, where as I had 7 miles to travel 15 miles.

I went down the 2 lane ramp in the center of it to keep people from passing further slowing up traffic from merging at the entrance to teh interstate. I had a big u haul truck in front of me that seemed scared to go on the interstate and started to roll back. I just dropped my car in 1st, floored it and drove on the shoulder pass the confused pack of cars to clear sailing down the interstate to my ramp. I was a bit concerned I needed half throttle in the down pour to go 60, but assumed it was all the friction from the rain and wind.

Ive been blind for 23 years, in a wheelchair for 9, I will not think twice to go on the wrong side of the road, shoulders, etc to avoid an accident.

aha! not again!

Goodluck with this one.

I was in a situation like yours

Truck driver came into my lane on the interstate and cut me off, and my car rolled.

no witnesses saw what ACTUALLY happened, so he changed his story and said he never came into my lane.

Basically, you're screwed because it's your word against his, just like in my story.

my insurance ended up giving me a check for the total amount of my car's value and now I have this record that I was in a one car accident. so my rates suck.
