Why? How?!? Mileage
To give a better picture I will compare my car/mods/driving style to my friend's Kanundrum.
ME - automatic, stock engine, drive mostly on highway but not during rush hour, 40 pounds heavier rims than his
Sap - manual, TRD s/c, drives mostly on highway and mostly during rush hour, has no rear interior (no back seats, spare tire, etc)
Why do I get 20 mpg and he gets 30mpg???
This means I drive way to crazy if a supercharged car that drives in more rush hour traffic, gets 50% more miles per gallon than me. Aside from his weight reduction is there any other plausible reason other than I drive "rougher" than he does? But I'm sure he pushes his car once in a while too so....???

Actually I get 23 MPG cause i usually fill up when I need 13 gals, and thats 300 so 300/13 = 23mpg
You fill up at like when you need 12 gals and you get like 22.5 so about the same.
i only get 300 when I dont act like a duma$$ at all, 100% no flooring it nuthing, when I dont do that I get like 250 270 or something like that and i only floor it while im in a high gear or drop down a gear like into 3rd or so to get more go.
You floor it a lot from dead stop which always uses more gas cause it has to get the car moving, the only reason Idont do that is because id get nuthing but wheel spin.
Feather it a few tanks adn drive careful from launches and see what happens.

Driving style most likely. Many people will find out if they really notice that they press the pedal down a lot further than they need. For example, if I am at 1/4 throttle in 3rd and want to accelerate, if I floor it I am not going to acellerate much faster than if I pressed it to 1/2 throttle, so I am just dumping more fuel for no reason.
And his numbers posted sound better. There is no way he was getting 30 driving in rush hour a lot. But even with the SC, he is lighter and if he stays out of it should be getting stock mileage for the most part.

I agree with Sap there.
I don't floor my car from dead stop (well, maybe once or twice between fill ups), drive around 8 in the morning and 4:30 in the afternoon on the Baltimore beltway (mild stop&go, really depends on the day) and I usually keep it between 65 and 75 when driving. I usually fill up my tank around 12.7 gallons and I have anywhere from 340 - 360+ as my odometer trip reading.
So like 350/12.7 = 27.5 mpg. If I drive really fast (like when following Mehr, Travis, and Dan to Mehr house) my gas mileage went to ish.
Easy off the lead foot from the redlight, keep it below 80 and see what that does to improve your mpg.

Dave is that a good amount to make a difference between the 20 mpg vs. 23 mpg?
