Default Why no leather option?

Aiyo! This is my first post. My name is Taylor and I'm an FX fanboy because I'm 6'8 and I like fast cars, but I don't usually fit in them.

Anyway, I'm hoping to cop my girl a TC because it looks sick as hell and the value is seems too good to be true. It's even got the same 0-60 as my fx35 (for now, because I have no mods yet).

What's the deal with the no leather option? Also, why is black the only color interior? I'm used to the brick/black interior of the FX and I like loud colors. I'm not knocking the TC at all because I would still probably cop one anyway, just wondering if any of you added a leather kit or no if they are going to offer one in the future.

Thanks a ton! I look forward to joining the club, the TC is sweeet!

all of the interior is the same because its cheaper to make, which means they can sell it at 16g. katskin probably makes a kit for the tc. if not they will soon

You lost me. All I see on the website is

"Sport Front Bucket Seats with Fabric Upholstery and Driver's Seat Adjustable Height and Thigh Support and Driver's Headrest Fore and Aft Adjustment"

Plus, in every review I have ever read of the TC it says the only thing missing is leather.

Am I missing something?

It is a third party option available from most dealerships. It is not a scion factory option. Both dealerships I went to quoted me 1200 bucks including installation.

I don't understand this leather thing, I've had leather interior and the only GOOD thing about it is the smell, other than that all it does is make you SWEAT YOU ___ OFF AND STICK TO IT!

I'll fit aite with the seat tilted way back, but it's for my girl not me! I don't want her to feel left out because she does not have leather. If you cannot appreciate the benefits of good leather like the brick interior of the FX then it's not worth even arguing about it. I heard the TC has really nice comfy seats, but they are not leather. Don't get me wrong I'm not hatin at all!

Anyone have any pics of leather tc interiors?

THANKS!

I really like the cloth seats of the tC BUT I have always had leather in my cars. I am used to the cons and I love the pros. I chose leather over an extended 100k mile warranty. Leather at my dealership was $1300 after install. I do not know who their supplier is but I think it's Soft Trim.

I am extremely pleased with the leather. The look and feel is excellent. I am prepared for a sweaty back at times but it enhances the interior so much it outweighs any cons. If it is within your budget to get leather and you even slightly lean towards leather over cloth.... DO IT.

Anyway, I don't have any good pics of my inteior because I took these at night. I will post this and then take good pics in daylight tomorrow.

How about getting the leather that look and feels like the leather in the Audis. I don't know if any of you has any experiences with the recent Audis, but they have some of the best leather seats in cars under $100K.

The feel, smell, and look is just great, and best of all, they don't use chemical;. None of that plasticky shiny slippery leather.

BMW's leather is also well made and share many of the same build quality as the Audis

So the question is, any good leather seat sources that matches more of the german autos??

I liked the stock cloth as well.... but I love my leather. I had my tC for three days before I could get the leather install, which was less than a grand installed. I personally think that the leather "completes" the look of the tC. Here's a pic of mine:

^^^^^^thats looks great! I have a couple questions:

1: Is the leather a dark grey or is it black?
2: Is the armrest leather also?
3: Did you get it from the dealer?

I opted to not get the Scion leather because of the way it felt and I didn't like the Scion logo on it. My tastes are rather toned down... everyone has their preferences.
