I drove the cobalt and thought it was plasticy garbage, the sentra, which wasnt fun to drive, the civic, and thought it was overpriced but decent, and then the tC and I just fell in love with it on the test drive and havent looked back since.

haha. my Cadillac took a crap again so i drove my dads jeep to the Scion dealer in the middle of winter with no top on.
i think it was like 15 degrees out that day.

but it was definitely the pricing, reliablilty, and selection of aftermarket parts that got me.

i wanted a newer model celica after my old car bit the dust, but after months of searching and not being able to find one that didnt require thousands of dollars to undo the rice, I went to the dealership and fell in love with the SW tc, but they only had a automatic, so i had to wait even more to get my 5 speed! wouldnt have done it any other way....i love my tc!

When I first saw scions released i foudn them interesting, but teh xa ad xb were defiately not for me. One day at school some guy was talking in class with other people about a new car scion was releasing. he had a magazine with pictures and stuff. I asked if i could take a look and i thought it was pretty bad ___.

When it was released and i looked at one in person i fell in love. Sadly i didn't get one until everyone else had one so now i seem like a sheep. My friend got a tC just because i showed teh car to him and he totalled his :p yeah i wanted to kick him in the ***** for getting a tC before me :p

The price for the car the clean look, the oppurtunities for customization, and that fact that if i didnt get a tc i probably woulve been drivign a civic like everyone else....The car just clicked with me :p

I miss my Jeep...was part of my family since new.
I drove over 230,000 hard but mostly trouble free miles out of it before it started crapping out on me.

...hey now...it was a pretty fast car for me. Hit 140 on that thing a couple of times

I won't go that fast ever again though, kinda scared me to be honest...
I know the feeling. I hit 130 in Hawaii in a '02 Jetta I had once. And I have to say...130 is that speed where you hit it and something in your brain (most people anyway) says to you "Hey, knock it off or you're going to die today."

I was heading down the H3 freeway and, coming out of the tunnel (midpoint of the highway/mountain pass) I just let 'er rip and soon was doing 130. The slightest lil movement of the wheel made the whole car feel like it was....I dunno....like an airplane rudder or something. A millimeter to the side either way, and the whole danged car moved that way.

A turn was coming up pretty quick so I went from enjoying the rush, to hoping the stock brakes were up to the task of slowing me down without sending me over the edge.

As for my answer to the original question: my tC chose me, not the other way around. After totaling my '06 Civic, I was limited in where I could go for a new car. I went to a leasing company and bought another '06 Civic....which I found out had been wrecked before (I was told it hadn't). So, to make amends and make a better deal, I was offered the chance to swap out for another vehicle. They just happened to have an '07 tC that was in just about pristine condition. Hardly any miles on it, barely so much as a teeny, hardly noticeable ding on one door.

Having shopped for a Scion a year or so before I settled on my Civic, I decided the time was right and jumped on it.

In my case, I like the styling, the reliability, the features...the muscle (160 is better than say 128 for a Carolla).

Also, the value. I've done some preliminary figuring and as it turns out, in 4 years, I can trade mine in on a brand new Mustang GT and my payments will actually almost be cut in half. I'll be able to drive a new Mustang for about $239 per month.

tC is a real safe car.
Side Curtain airbag saved my head from going through my drivers side window.
granted, my ears a little messed up and rings from time to time from hitting the airbag.
but thats better then having a headfull of glass.
