Default Why is there no light in Glove compartment and hatch/trunk??

Even my 88 nissan maxima has a light in the glove compartment. Its very helpful when you need to look for something.. Also it would be nice in the trunk area cause u cant see sh*t at nite... ahhhhhhhhhh or am I missing something?

there is a small light on the left side of the car in the trunk area. It's almost not worth having.

i am a moron.

as for the glove compartment, maybe you can wire some led's in there? I think I might do that, go all blue on the dash, center console, possibly the vents, and the glovebox.

With my xB, I got some underdash lighting from Randode. When I open the glove compartment I get some bleed through that helps there, or I turn on the overhead light. Will that work on a tC??

I wondered why there wasnt a light in the glove box also. Maybe it was just something they skipped??

I dont see how they could have skipped that. If the car was pushed toward generation "Y" dont they know we get a lot of tickets. You need some light to find license and registration

The light in the trunk works great IMO. I can see everything with that light.

trunk light: lower left hand side with a switch on it.

here's a thought: turn on the dome light!!! then open the glove box.

I just read an artical complaining that the cadillac suburban doesn't have one either.

ok i found the trunk light and I think it is enough. And if by dome light u mean the light on the ceiling of car.. then yes.. i think that is partially enough for the glove compartment...

The dome light is mounted near/on the rear view mirror. With it being mounted there little or no light gets into the glove box. The only one that would put light into the glove box would be the rear dome light

The front ones dont put much light in there also.

Maybe if all the lights inside the tC are on some light will illuminate the glove box :?

The front dome lights near the rear view mirror are good enough. I can see everything I need in the cabin with the lights on.

i would rather have the existing TWO dome lights (which they are actually BRIGHT!) and map lights instead of a glove box light..

But to also throw a new question in.. what ever happened to the under the hood light? i thought those were very cool..
