WIND
I experience the same thing in my Civic. Our cars are almost the same dimensions as far as height/length but, I think the tC has a little more surface area for the wind to hit. Wouldn't surprise me too much.
Yeah, we get 60+mph crosswinds sometimes at that place I work at from the surrounding mountain ranges. Its a pain but honestly our cars handle a lot better than some of the others I see on the road when its bad up here. Saw a Buick go from the right lane all the way to the far yellow line of the left lane from a gust about a month ago...mine was fine but I think we both almost crapped ourselves when it happend since it was rock drainage area on the other side of that line.
wind is a hazard for alot of cars, the tc isn't any more susceptible to it than other cars.
doing my mad dash from laytonsville to frostburg maryland, i've taken on strong wind at over 80 mph, just keep both hands firm on the wheel and it is doable. my old 95 explorer was like a freaking sale with its long boxy crosssection, even though it had over 1000 pounds of curb weight on the tc, it would get pretty fishy on the interstate. the tc does much better, but still, wind is wind, and it will blow plenty of cars around if the driver isn't paying enough attention.

i have had about 14 cars by now, mabey its because the tc is one of the lightest ive had? i dunno, mabey that combined with the 45 tires makes it feel even more so "tossed around" and i have the lowering springs, ladies love the lowering springs
wow, 14 cars and you know so little about them, and have you really driven all 14 in strong windy conditions?.
also, the height of the tire would have close to nothing with how the car handles in the wind...yeah, more like the width of the tires, which 215 isn't really that skinny for a car in its class.
but when it gets windy, just keep both hands on the wheel, it is nothing a decent driver can't handle.

lol lowering the car 3 inches isnt going to make a huge differnence, especially if you are going against cross winds
maybe a bit, thats it! come one people, aerodynamics! thats why the cars with the huge spoilers go sooooo fast

Just b/c it looks like a spoiler when it's open doesn't mean it is. Most of the wind is deflected by the... deflector... anyways. And that part is flexible so it's not going to give you any downforce at all, really. And it blocks most of the air that would create any downforce on the sunroof itself.

If this was true this would mean someone 300lbs could stand on your sunroof without it breaking. I dont think that is possible.

It doesn't create any downforce. It's a wind deflector.
