Wind damage: insurance?
Not sure about the deductible, gonna have to find my paperwork to check the details. It's been a while. Anyway, L.A. gets crazy windy for just a short time each year. It's seasonal. Always happens at the end of summer. I knew it was coming, but it has never been this bad. I have never before had a problem with debris being picked up and hurled at my car.
yea the wind is pretty bad, and where i am right now, i can't go outside without ashes flying into my eye. yesterday when i drove here, i started to think my car was burning because of the smell. damn socal weather scarying me to death.
Cool, yeah, it's kind of like that, but repeated 60 times. Some of them are also more like scuffs instead of scratches, but they don't rub out. I also found some chips which are definitely not going to buff out. I got a chip on the face of my Oznium brake light - that ____ed me off the most.
No garage for me even if I wanted one. It's outdoor parking only. It's about midnight now and I can hear the winds getting brutal again outside. I can just imagine my poor tC out there taking a 3rd night of punishment.
The instructions say rub for 2 mins, but that didn't work. I think I rubbed for at least 20 mins with pressure. I used my palm. I'm not sure, but I think any rubbing compound should work. My arms were hella sore afterwards. I guess you can use that duplicolor kit to remove those chips. I guess you have to replace the brake light, they have some online, but they are a bit pricey. Good Luck!
