Just curious how much you guyz are paying for tinting windows. My last car already had the windows tinted so I didn't have to worry about it. I was quoted $199, this included OH legal tint for the front 2 and limo tint for the back.
That price seems pretty reasonable to me, but one my friends got his done for $150 in TX.

So how much have you paid??

 

I got mine for 120 legal in NC with lifetime warranty.

 

$130 for 30% (legal), I gave him a $10 tip, so $140

Of course, remember it varies greatly from area to area. Go up to the NE, and $300-$400 is "normal" for tint from what I hear. Supply and demand, I suppose. Since tint is essentially illegal in the NE, it makes sense its so expensive.

edit: I forgot to mention I got SunTek film with a lifetime warranty. The tint guys seem to think its on par with Llumar, so yea.

 

normally costs $145 at the place around here but they had a special going or something the week i went so it only cost $100 for 20%. most i've ever paid for any car was around $175

 

$149 (with tax) for Llumar metal film tint, which has a lifetime warranty against everything except HIV. That was from a shop called ShadowTech. The dealership quoted me at 215 with tax for regular tint, which I wouldn't have gotten to choose the percentage on.

 

Oh my god, you mean I have to watch out for my window tint getting the HIV now too?! Do they make some sort of latex protection for that?

Seriously, I'm about to go get some tint all around and legal and I'm expecting to pay anywhere from 150-200 for the good stuff. I've done some research and there are currently about three brands people swear by. So I assume they'll all three work just fine.
