hmmm... my answer would have to be maybe. i think it'd take some very creative wiring....
now also.. are we talking about wireless stuff? cause that probably be almost impossible i think with the stock key...
can you explain to me exactly what your friends are doing? (what they do to make windows go down.. what cars.. etc...)
i got some time before classes start to figure it out i guess... gotta do some bypassin' stuff it seems too..

^^ ohhh yea, you are correct, my sister's 04 Altima can do this as well, I always do it if I'm driving her car in this situation:
its been parked outside in the sun for whatever reason... so as I'm walking towards the car, I just hold down the unlock button and the windows will roll down. You can hold it down until they go down all the way or release the button while its rolling down and it will stop at that position. Nice way to start cooling off the insides before you even get in...
I really wish the tC's had it, but I can live with the lack of it

Seems complicated though for a simple feature, and it would require reprogramming the software already present, which seems realllly complicated. Maybe it might be possible with some aftermarket system.

yeah.. some aftermarket, seperate wireless remote would be much easier....
i do have a bit of resources on hand.. but even still.. i think it'll be an extremely complicated procedure to accomplish with the stock key.. unpractical i'd say even for the advanced DIY'ers out there.
i'll see what i can find though.
i mean... there are Bluetooth multi function controllers out there made for cars... (imagine using your PDA or Smart phone to open your windows)

Well if you didn't opt to get the factory alarm, and went after market, some of them you can control from pretty far away..
my dad installed one of the lcd display ones on his car with fm transmitter.. i've seen it work from inside the center of the mall.. (it relays back to the remote to tell you if it was successful.)
But I like the tC key its all in one... no extra fob

i'll say.. it's not a cheap system.. but showy? oh hell yes.

1) Use that DEI system
2) Use some type of servo or little motor to actuate the button on the keyfob. The keyfob has to be locally installed.
3) The servo would be controlled by a logic board or computer... this would be connected to:
4) Either a GSM module (which would require you taking out a GSM cell phone subscription/number just for your windows) or maybe a WiFi connection (which obviously would only work when its near your wireless router/at your house) + software on the PDA and computer.
anyone wanna give it a try?
