Default windshield imperfections?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of windshield imperfections....i suck at describing so bear with me. when the sun shines directly on it you see millions of shiny dots...im assuming they are little rock chips? or something of that nature? Any input would be awesome. Thanks.

If you still have warranty, then take it to the dealer. If you are out of warranty then take it to a glass shop.

it's not covered under warranty, don't waste your time in going there. that's like me going to the dealership and saying "can you repaint my front bumper because i have all these rock chips..." lol

i would suggest to either deal with it or take it to a glass shop and get a new windshield (if you have glass coverage, pay the deductable, if not be prepared to spend like $500ish+ on a new windshield.).

the problem will come back however in due time.

Nice I get to vent again...this glass is horrible, i have had cars for 15 years that havent had the windshield look this bad (and I have only had my tC almost a year. This is my belief, I don't care if its not a fact, I strongly believe the quality of this glass is horrible (too soft). Its sad, less than a year later I cant even enjoy my car because I cant even enjoy the view and I am always distracted.
Some may call me an idiot (or most) but I know rock chips are a part of life and windshield pits are too and they are both inevitable but not to this extent, no way. Sorry not buying it.

I have owned over 25 cars in the past 14 years and they have all had what you are describing. It is not a Scion thing, or honda thing or whatever thing. It is just that the glass comes under a battery of elements and it becomes pitted. There are products out there that i believe can polish the glass but again it will be back in no time :-{

don't get me wrong i know it is a natural part of a cars life...but i was just wondering are there any products out there that can correct or at least just touch it up. I know Zaino makes glass polish and ive used it...its not bad...but doesn't really get rid of the pits.

This is known as road errosion, the fact that they use soft glass sure doesnt help, GM has the same problem.
