Question windshield top molding

The molding on top of the windshield, in front of the glass wind deflector. Is it glued to the windshield or is it a pressure fit that holds it in place?

never did get that answer here about that.. thanks

thanks for the info drax! yeah i was cleaning some bug hits off of there and it moved, shocked me that it wasn't glued down. What kinds of problems were you having? I could search but easier just to ask ya real quick. I'm just wondering if i should have it glued down.

as my tc was going through a car wash, the super fast blower at the end of the wash was making the strip at the top blow around.

^^ thanks drax, yeah seems that over time the pressure fit gives up, looks like mine has too after all this time. Time to get it glued down now. dont need it banging against the glass, no dont need that.

Mine was gone when I got my tc. Makes a loud wistle at 75mph. I got a new seal but I don't want to pull the windshield yet to replace it.

I'd just use some black silicone to glue it in place. I used some to touch up a defect on a car I was given awhile back where the windshield was leaking a bit. Held for years without an issue.
