Question Wiper Blade Position (Standard vs. Raised) Question

Hi. We got a lot of snow today and my wipers went to the raised position. I am trying to get them back down but don't know how. I read the manual and it says to push them down? I tried but don't want to break them off. Do they go down automatically later? This makes no sense.

Will they go down by themselves? I'm scared of breaking them.

You have to push. They wont do it by themselves. It will pop but you wont break them. Give it some force but nothing major.

that is INCORRECT.

unless the nut is loose, you will not damage the "teeth"
by doing what you are doing, you are completely misaligning the wiper blade to the correct position.

in the future, the wiper blade cannot go to its raised position, thus you are now placing the wiper blade in a position where it CAN BREAK.

and the only thing you achieved is now you can lower the wiper blade into the damn hood because you misaligned it.

as if people can't figure the damn thing out... RTFM.
