CONGRATS on the 1st place finish in Long Beach. I can't wait for the race to air on versus.
I was at the Toyota Grand Prix on Saturday but didn't get a chance to watch the early morning practice session. I did however get autographs from both Gardner and Stout and saw the DG Spec tCs in person.
I want that TRD intercooler, I'll even settle for the custom fabbed intercooler on Stout's car.

tyndago, thanks for the videos you got posted on youtube. I did watch the video of the engine swap done on Gardner's car before the race.

What was the reason for the swap?

 

One of the lines to the oil cooler came off. The outer covering of the hose was still in the AN fitting, but the inner portion came out. I think it got scored when I put it together.

After fixing the line, we checked out the engine. Pulled the cam caps , the oil filter, checked the oil that was left. Everything looked OK. We repaired the line, put it back together,started it up, and it had rod knock.

The spare engine was on the outside of the track, and we were on the inside. We had to bring the engine and engine stand in though the main entrance, though the Performing Arts Center, down an elevator to our pit space. That was a fun transit though a lot of people.
