Default Would you give your 2 day old tC to a valet attendant?

My mom has been in the hospital for the past week and a half so I've been visiting her every night. Tonight I took my 2 day old tC (with 25 miles on it) and used the hospital valet parking service.

My mom said I was crazy for giving them the keys to my brand new ride. I think she's watched one too many movies. What do you guys think?

LOL... If the valet screw your car up maybe you can sue him/her for damage?

I personally wouldn't let anyone get to the driver side of my car except for me.

As a matter of fact, I work as a Valet at a hospital (did u go to Emory U. Hospital by chance?). I trust my car to few people but after working as a Valet I would trust my car to my coworkers. You should not need to worry about any dings or anything. Not that it does not happen, but I have found that you are much, much, much more likely to get dinged by parking in a regular parking lot. You don’t need to worry about anyone joy riding all around town in your car. However, they may "make the block" on the way to the garage if they really like it I don’t think I would take it in during break-in, but I doubt anything even happened to it.
And yes, as requirement to the job you have to know how to drive stick.

I valet at a high end restraunt and a hotel and i would say dont do it if they park the car out of sight. The only thing you should worry about is doordings because we often park cars really close and it can happen. I wouldnt wouldnt worry about them opening it up because like the above said, its only a tC. What is always and option is to ask the valet to keep it up front and actually tell them to watch out for door dings. Then follow that with a five or something. I have seen worst things that can happen inside a parking stucture.
Oh and remember to tip the valet. I hate getting stiffed. Even if there is charged parking doesnt mean that we get any of that money.

But my cars may either be just a low cost Toyota, now Scion, etc, but I usually have somewhere between $10-20K
in mods and hundreds of hours of my time invested;)

we seem to disagree with door dings. But I will say that $5 will get you some extra care if you are worried. And you should always tip, especially if you are coming back again.

My biggest concern is if the valet attendant curbed a rim, hit the front bumber against the concrete curbing, ect.......

I valet. If you're really worried about your car, tip the guy who parks it. If you do, you're pretty much guaranteed that he'll put it in a good spot.

Even if you don't, I've valet'd for about a year and have never dinged, scratched, or otherwise damaged a car, no matter what kind of car it is. I'd say 95% of valets have the same kind of respect. Don't worry about it.

That's what I was thinking... I have never, ever seen a hospital with valet service.
