i'm 6'2 and i'm fine in it... and no i don't "g" ride. maybe that one inch that you got on me makes a big difference. I have plenty of room though.

 

I have an Xa and I love it. I would love to have the Tc but I need 4 doors. One of the main things that I don't like about the Tc is that it looks like a crappy ?Hyundai? Tiburon and I hate those things.

 

why pimp a car like that when you could get something tight for the same amount of money like a 96' impala witch is better than an xa or xb (and a tc too for that matter) and then still have enough to do all that stuff

 

The xB stands out way more then a 96 Impala. If your going to pimp out a Impala make it a 60's those look much better IMO.

 

I love my PW xA. It's a very distinctive, tough looking little car. People are always asking me 'What IS that car?" and saying things like "What a cool looking car." and mine isn't even lowered nor does it have nice rims yet. The tc and xA really are just very different. I come from driving a much more powerful sports car, and I can honestly say I don't miss it. My xA makes me smile every time I see it. I really enjoy the handling and way it drives.

It's all up to what you want and like. I prefer something that looks unique. What are your priorities? Make a list of what you want in a car, any car. Then compare the tc and the xA to that list. The model with the most matches should be the car buy.

 

That reminds me of the saying. "Its more fun to drive a slow car fast, then a fast car slow. With all these ppl talking about getting the s/c for there tC & so on, where are you really going to be able to use this power at? Maybe in first & second gear to get to speed & to down shift to pass some one but other then that not to many times. Also better hope it does not put off that s/c whine or a cop might just follow you around.

 

i guess its all opinion on what "stand out" means, to me, a imp stands out more than an xb because, sorry, but its a much tighter car and ive seen less 96' imps on the road than xb's. and as of now, IN AMERICA ONLY, are those unique and from having just moved from detroit and going to the auto show every year, ur cars are only going to be unique for maybe a year or two. Every new car thats soon to be released is just a different geometric shape from a math book with wheels. Being a graffiti artist and seening things a flowing lines and creative design... as i say... any dumbass can draw a 90 degree angle but it takes a pro to draw a curved lines that look good together.

yes, the Xa looks like a piece of ____. i dont care if you get a 100 MPG, they are still female vehicles IMO. until i see a muscle man driving around a hot ___ chick in an XA my opinion stands.

 

you should take back the "muscle man" part of that because lots of those body builedrs are ___ and i'm sure theirs plenty of ___ guys with xa's

 

 

Man, anybody who bashes on any Scion, and owns one is truly retarded. There's constructive criticism. . . and there's sheer ignorance. I'm sure all you arogant tC owners (not all of you, but many) commonly get this reaction when you tell people you bought a Scion. . . "What???? You bought the TOASTER???" Now I'm not knocking the xB, I like it too, but realize that when you flame an xA or xB, you are contributing to that select group of, shall we say "special," people who hate Scions. Congradulations, you helped to make yourself look even more retarded than you already are.

Keep your criticisms constructive, and relevent. Like saying, "I think it's ugly," is fine perfectly understandable statement. And it's a good point against the xA or xB, as many do not like the styling.

Just remember, people remember the bad more than they do the good, ie rice cars that are actually fast. . . most "ricers" are dismissed as such because of the overwhelmingly bad image. Help promote the image of Scions as ugly cars, and you will be just as ugly by association.

Sorry if I've been a bit unconstructive myself here, but you guys really push it. There is only one xA owner on here who will outright bash the tC, but the rest of us have our own opinions too and are respectful enough to be civil on the forums. No offense to you CyberGypsy either, as you are entitled to your opinions, but she knows that she is a very small minority as well, and does not represent the entire Scion community. I find it offensive and horrifying that all these tC owners are ganging up to bash the xA. This is Scionlife, not tClife. If you want to hate the rest of us, go join another forum. I dare anyone of you to go to a Scion meet and run your mouths as you do here, and see what the overwhelming large numbers of xB owners do to you. Grow up.

xa's and b's arn't too extreemly differnet from other things

xa= vw golf, matrix, mazda protige, civic si(if it were a 4 door) and every car in europe and the pontiac vibe (not so unique)
xb= MINI VERSIONS OF... mercedes G-wagon, ASTRO VAN, honda element, toaster with wheels (still unique but so ugly, who cares)

Im not saying that they straight up suck because its opinion but my point is that yeah the tc looks like the rsx or things like that but at least it "looks like" a good looking car.

it's like saying.. "Hey i know what would look UNIQUE!... lets hollow out a giant peice of ____ and put wheels and seats to it and weve got ourself a new unique car!". besides, in a few years, every car on the road is gunna have a boxy look to it, just go to the detroit auto show every year like I do and u'll see what I mean.

 

You're missing my point. . . it's not about what you are saying, but rather how.
Nobody in the xA or xB camp is calling the tC a piece of isht or a ___ car(except maybe cybergypsy :D ). . . just that it is a different car. . . what is offensive about that? Some go so far as to say bland. Geez, go call your neighbor bland, then call him ___; see the difference in his reaction.

You make a good point, that the xA's and xB's aren't really all that original, but they do stick out a whole hell of a lot on the road. Make good points against the car, I'm all for it. Just be civil about it. Nobody (except for cybergpysy) is throwing ____ at you guys. THere's no need to start a flame war.

 

Ok, I might have overreacted, as having the same lines quoted over and over again, makit it dominate the thread, but my opinion still stands.

It's just that this isn't the first time a tC owner has been a complete a-hole and disrespectful of the rest of us Scion owners. I never get any crap on the road, and I know some friends on this site that do. . . Scionlife is a haven for ALL scion owners, and not a place where we mock each other. At least this is what I thought when I signed up here. If I'm wrong, someone correct me, and I will gladly leave. For those who wish to mock the rest of us, there are sites dedicated to tC's. . . but do you know why Scionlife is the best? Because we all stick up for eachother. If somebody is flinging mud at you, don't go flinging mud back at all the rest of us. Take up your problem with the person who is being the dick.
I really like the tC, and I really like the xA. . . and at first I hated xB's but kept my mouth shut. Then I met the owners of xB's, and I understand why they love their cars and have grown to love the xB too. But love em or hate em, be respectful. Flaming is for little kids in chatrooms.

 

Being an owner of both an xB and tC, there both great cars, Just to let you know the tC gets great gas milage, so far I got 33 mpg on it and im using 87 octane fuel same as my xB. Now when you say that your thinking of getting a greddy Turbo for the xA, Why? now for sure your going to lose your gas milage from that. Now I also talked to people who have Xa's and they have sat in the rear seat of tC's and say the tC has more leg room then there Xa has, if your looking for room in the back get a Xb. Another thing is how in the world does the tC look like a granny car? everbody who sees me raves about how sporty my tC is. Now when I drive down the road in my xB I do get more looks, but I also get alot of people pointing and laughing at the sametime too, my responce to that is my middle fingure and me pointing and laughing at them. I do plan on keeping my tC pretty much stock because im not into raceing it and people who do race most of the time have no clue what there doing. I think they need to provide more tracks for kids who like to do that kind of thing. The Xa is a good car, it just wasent for me because the Xb came out the sametime and it was the more unique one out of the two plus ive had 5 people in it at one time and they were all comfortable, including me driveing and im 6'2''. Just think once you finally decide which car you want you have to pick a color .

 

good post sml, didn't know about the tC had that much room back there, wow! I got more room than a civic, so that must mean the tC is HUGE back there. Also good point about killing the mileage by goin for a tubo.

See? That's what I'm talking about. . . using good points presented in a reasonable fashion. . . and it does a lot more to convince people too.

I really like the tC, but again, if only I could live with two doors, but I have a lame situation. . .
