Default XB $16 Universal Exhaust Tip Pics

So I thought and I thought. I finally came up with the conclusion that I'm not going to alter my exhaust with a possible sacrifice of low end power, a sound that I'm not in favor of, and $300 for a gain of about 3 HP. So I went with a little exhaust tip. I got it from Pep Boys for $16 and think it looks pretty nice.
IMO, every XB that has $800 - $2000 rims and tires should be running at least a Tip to keep the whole package look in check.

The pics are small cuz I saved the wrong version and shoddy cuz I have the cheapest digital camera in the world!!! But I think you can get the idea.

Dollar for dollar, that's the best upgrade you can do!

I got my chrome tip at a muffler shop - $20 welded

Looks nice.

I was gonna get a tip for mine but than my friend gave me, yes gave me a "tuner" muffler. It fills in the hole really good and actually sounds good. It sounds kinda like the magna flow except louder.

That looks sweet. When I first got my xB that was one of the first things I wanted to do. Was even looking at some of the BMW 318 tips on eBay.

A lil pricey though.

How'd you remove your stock tip?

its real easy .. i just tapped it off from underneath with a flat head screwdriver and a hammer ... then the other one slides right on perfectly (made for the xB) and clamps down .. VOILA ... done

its DEF worth the 41 shipped

yeah, the Valor tip is a deff good buy if you aren't looking at a complete exhaust. The crappy piece of sheet metal they wrap around the pipe is garbage. I got mine from my dealer for $45.

you know, I agree with everyone on how a tip can really complete the look of a car with a drop and some nice rims, I have a tip too and I love it (till I get my exhaust)

anyways,I was doing some thinking which sometimes turns out into some crazy ideas but anyways does anyone know of someone who may have had dual exhaust tips? this is something I wouldn't do but if you think about it, it can look freaking good!!I mean one tip can look very sleek, just think of someone made the other cut out in the right side of the bumper and hung another tip on the right side (providing it can sit centered and look functional) is this ricey? or just another way to complete a look without sacraficing 700.00??? Opinios please....

i think it'll be ricey b/c it'll look aweful goofy when its cold and you could only see exhaust coming out of one tip :D ...and 4-bangers just shouldnt have dual-exhaust anyway....just my opinion

hey you guys would be surpirsed what a tip alone can do! Even if its to finish off that project body kit! A tip makes all the difference. :D

Some people were asking for the brand and part number of my Pep Boys exhaust tip. So here it is...
Brand: 3A Racing
PN: 62-1107
SKU: 57116 01107
Semi-squared tip. Angle cut.

It was kinda difficult to mount because the OEM tip is 2 parts. I had to remove the stainless cover off of the OEM extension with a cutting wheel. Then I attached the new tip to the extension and press fitted it onto the exhaust pipe.

I almost brought the 3A tip back because a longer tip would have just easily clipped onto the exhaust pipe and I wouldn't have had to screw with the OEM tip and extension at all. But I liked the look a bunch, so I stuck with it.

APC make a tip also and it fits over the stock cover. Thats the look I had before I put the exaust on. The APC tip has a 3 1/2 inch diameter.
