Performance wise: huge huge huge downgrade
comfort/amenities: huuuuuuugr upgrade

The WRX was my first car, I got it when I was 17 back in 2008..it was my dream car and couldn't have been happier but the car has literally been a nightmare since the week i got it!!! The kid that had the car before me did a half a** job doing everything so everytime I tried to do another mod I ended up fixing one of his mess ups so I just lost interest and started givin up. it ran 13.2 and I unfortunately never got to dyno it but it was pushing 18 psi full tune exhaust and a couple other things. Would've loved to do more but I couldn't afford it! The last straw was when the turbo blew so I just sold it as is and went with a tC for car shows and that's my story!! Don't kill me, but I'll always looooove Subies_

The WRX was too expensive to maintain, so you got a tC for car shows? So much fail with that.

Welcome to SL!

^^^well considering I didn't post my entire history of the car and the ridiculous amounts of money I've spend fixing it, I could see how you'd say that, buttttttt no, there's no fail with that. I literally spent more on repairs than I did on the car.

I was looking to get rid of my tC for a WRX actually. Sick of the tC in Winters, but read about the turbo making it a repair nightmare.
Needless to say im still stuck with it, but its a great car in the other 3 seasons.

I was referring to you complaining about costs with your previous car, then saying you got the tC for a show car. That just sounds kind of dumb to me. As in, a waste of money. I'd rather have dumped that money into a car that was more enjoyable to drive rather than into a car because the inside was prettier. That's just my opinion...I'm not a show car kinda dude, but I do understand how frustrating it can be to drive a less than dependable car. I've had no problems yet with my 07, and hope you enjoy the new car.

Where and what did you read exactly? There being a turbo on the car doesn't make it more expensive to repair. Heck the most expensive repair that you'll really need to do is a timing belt. Eh, I made the switch from WRX to tC and back to WRX. After being in the tC for almost 2 years I was tired of the blandness, slowness, and lack of AWD and a good sounding exhaust. Plus the market for tC part's isn't that great. I kicked myself for selling my first WRX, now I love having my 2nd one.

1) The tC is not a great format for turboing - leads to a lot of insueing work. Yes 7 psi is nbd for the block...9 psi it starts to f isht up unless the internals are replaced.

2) The tC market for parts is not "not great".

3) no need to jump on people when you disagree with their answers. especially when their answers are right.

I said it once and I will say it again for the last time. If you idiots want to start a war, do it elsewhere. This thread does not belong to you guys. keep the topic to welcoming the new member and assist them if they have any questions...

umad brah?.... don't hate on what other ppl do with their cars. no one is making fun of your failed turbo dreams and constant crying you've done in some of your threads about your car etc. if your so convinced the tC has alot of potential then why are you selling yours?

IJS man... sometimes not giving input on pointless arguments makes you seem much smarter then what you are.

welcome to the forum OP. sorry you have to deal with so many amateurs here with thick skulls... there are alot good ppl here with great knowledge. finding them will be your greatest challenge. btw im tcpete... OG here... have questions... holla at me...

Car forums are made for discussing things. No one is really at anyone's throats here, and overall the mood is pretty calm. I see no reason why people cannot debate tC vs WRX vs Someothervehicle

There hasn't been much "hater" in this thread, mostly people talking differences in WRX and tC and wondering why she switched. Your post should say "Welcome to SL OP, where be over react about everything."
