That's like comparing apples to oranges. They aren't even in the same class.

i have gone against 2 Yaris's and have beaten them both on my auto. only once, one of them early on got about a fender ahead of me, before I started to pick up and passed him by a good car length.

A Yaris w/ passengers and groceries beating a modded auto tC? I'll believe it when I say it otherwise it's just all shenanigans!

"big TRD exhaust/suspension" lol
The trd exhaust doesn't really add much power to our cars, and having springs wont make your car any faster in a strait line... I've still heard of stock tc's walking modded xA's and Yaris's.

in the same post he tells of his car with full interior and another run with stripped interior.

Full of bs? or two different nights?

Sounds pretty unbelievable to me. I can't say I believe him personally, a blinking gas light and racing? What an idiot...

Well I have both a Yaris and a tC........my tC is somewhat faster.........but still not fast..........my Yaris is pretty equal to the tC though driving from 0-60........what drives me nuts is the comparison that Automatic tCs are slow.........still waiting for a stick with the same mods on a tC to blow my doors off........so far we accelerate the same every time I get on it with my friends......none of them can pull on me and I cannot pull on them......so they are pretty even........

My friends also could not pull on me in my Yaris either.......but at 60 they are able to pull away fairly easy...the Yaris has a crummy 3 gear but the 4th is pretty good........I also have 17s onthe thing so it slows it down a bit.......LOL..........

both are completely differant types of cars though.........and both are fun in their own ways........

not to talk smack but how the hell do these midget cars with 106 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque beat the tC? automatic or shift Christ with a SC they get out at 180 which isn't much better than a slightly upgrades tC.

The yaris 3 door and sedan I drove were both the slowest cars I have ever driven period next to a geo metro. I mean come on they bairly miss an 18 second 1/4 mile time *LOL* It was a struggle for the 3 door hatch to hit 80mph on a freeway.

I was seriously thinking of purchasing one for a commuter until the test drive when I realized they were utterly gutless and had 0 passing power unless by the grace of god they had a 60mph tail wind. Then I test drive the xd, while no rocket by any means, it blew the doors off the yaris with ease and had plenty of passing power but is still slow.

Now my tC when it was stock would blow the doors off both the yaris and the XD. Take it from someone that has driven them all and owns two of the 3 haha. The yaris is SLOW SLOW SLOW.

And considering the yaris BAIRLY manages a 17.8 - 17.9 second quarter mile, this backs it up. Tc's regularly run a 15.2-15.8 STOCK so this guy did in fact NOT kill a tC unless the tC was not racing. Heck the yaris is so slow the guy in the tC probably just thought he was coasting by and not even flooring it. Even the XD STOCK runs at 16.5 @ 84mph which is over a full second faster & 5mph faster than a yaris and it feels super slow compared to a stock tC haha.

Examples of yaris 1/4 mile times

http://www.dragtimes.com/Toyota-Yari...slip-9264.html

They even rate the yaris at almost an 18 second 1/4 mile *LOL*

EPA Fuel Economy - miles per gallon
city / highway / observed
34 / 39 / 33.5 mpg
0 - 60 Time 9.70 seconds *
1/4 mile time 17.60 seconds *
1/4 speed 79.10 MPH *
Braking 60 - 0 no data
Turning Radius 16.3 feet
Interior noise volume, 65 MPH (A weighted) 75 db
Air Bags Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag

The yaris guys forget about one little detail, they lack a massive amount of torque which is why they feel so gutless.

Anyways that whole post is funny as sin to me. The total lack of all power especially at speed is why I kept the heck away from the little hatch. Compared to a tC *LOL* OMFG that is funny as heck.
