Default YAY... I ordered the 06 TC !!

Hey there,
I posted a while back that my wonderful dealership sold my 05 tc (indigo ink, manual with side and curtain airbags) off the lot even though I placed a deposit on it in March. They then couldn't find the car anywhere... and I was very very sad since I had waited so long for my car already. Well they call me and tell me that they will have the car in 3 weeks, and I informed them I could have an 06 if i waited 6 weeks and I would have to be an idiot to buy the 05 at this point... so I put the order in for the 06 with the ipod hook up and all the music goodies. Gotta wait yet another month and a half (at the least) so it will be about 6 months of waiting for my car total including the last disaster... but hey, its ordered and on its way !! I CAN'T WAIT...
Thanks for all your help with the other issue!!
Kris

Are they giving you any sort of deal on the 06? Since they lost your other one? Like a free upgrade to that stereo with the iPod dock? I would be sure to get something from them on it.

listen, I don't know what kind of dealership you are dealing with, but another month and a half for an 06 is not right. They should be able to give you a VIN by the 15th of this month in my estimation. You should pressure them on that.

I was told 6-8 weeks too, but i'm not sure if that's just to cover my salesman's ___ rather than saying 3 weeks and it not show up until 4. Idk, this whole waiting game is stupid. Scion should just release dates.

well, if you're lucky enough (or maybe i should say unlucky because toyota/scion likes to rape you with dealer fees down here) to live in the south east region for toyota, you can actually see what cars are coming in to what dealerships, what color and options are on each car and the all important vin # so you can reserve the one of your choice.

just go to http://www.buyatoyota.com/ and type in your zip, pick a dealership, select the tc, choose your a 2006 m/t or a/t and then your options (or don't choose any options and you'll see every car) and it'll show you what cars are coming in and when. if you don't live in the southeast region and you want to play around with it, try an orlando zip code, 32714, and test it out. that's how i found my vin and ordered my 2006! and the eta for the souteast region to start getting 2006's is 6/16. mine should be here on 6/21!!

and again, this only seems to work for the se region as i've tried many different zip codes and it doesn't work...

man i spent like ten minutes freaking out over why it wasn't working for DFW and then i saw your last sentence about it only working for the se region. That sucks they need to get their act together.
