A lot of that has to do with how fast you accelerate on the on-ramp and how often you drop gears to pass. Hwy mpg assumes a start-to-finish trip with nothing but "cruisin" in between.

also, for the driver's seat, the lever/pump thing that raises the seat up or down. now THAT'S attention to detail. gotta love scion.
it's the lever right in front of the lever that tilts the seat back, closer to the gas pedals and right before the **** that adusts the seat. it's hard to explain, when you sit in yours, you'll find it. : )

I found it. I went to the dealership with my fiance's cousin to look at the car again. It is about 10pm and I just happened to find the door unlocked. Oh yes unlocked. So I jumped in and looked at everything and found the lever for raising the seat.

Here is the best part, they had XB unlocked and keys in the ignition. I started it up for the hell of it, but turned it off. I am gonna send a little email to my sales person there and let him know about that. Just a friendly reminder because I could have hotwired one and easily just driven away with the other one.
