I have a Manual. That is one reason I had to wait so long for it from the dealer.

Oh and don't go bashing the Auto guys. Go drive up through DC one evening on Wisconsin Ave and you will see why an auto is nice some days.

Auto here. Learned to Drive Stick, Immediately started Buying Auto's since I'm in Chicago. Wouldn't ever Buy a Stick tC, not a great Platform.
Rather have a Built Auto and a Shift Box, Human Reaction is never gonna' beat a Computer.

Pretty sure the stick tC is a better platform to start out on due to the gearing ratios compared to the auto.

I completely agree, to start out with, but a nice Trans. setup through a Company like IPT can make an Auto tC give a Stick a run for it's Money.

I have an automatic and i'm sure as hell proud of my tC!

Sure, I would have loved to get a 5spd, but at the time of my purchase, there was such a high demand on the tC's that I took whatever was available. I love how some of you guys try to rationalize that your tC's are somehow better than others just because they're stick.... when in the end, it's the same car. Sure, it may not be faster, but you can only go so fast on the road while still abiding to the law.

And to the guy who posted why Auto guys mod their car and why we would be on a forum, same concept as to why you would want to mod your 5spd; because we can and we like to. I assume your tC is daily driven, just like mine.... i'll just end it there.

So, for those of you who have automatics, don't be ashamed. Enjoy your car for what it is... A CAR...not a RACECAR.... or SUPERCAR (even though some of you think you can drive your tC like one).
