Default Is that your tc outside?

So today, my dad and i went out to check out cars. Saw some pretty cool stuff, the C6, i test drove the is250 stickshift (wow) and also, went to check out the new Si.

within a minute of entering the showroom (i was sitting in the Si driver seat), a gentleman comes up to my father and i and asks if that was our tC outside. After we told him it was, first thing he asked was, "which one, the tC or the Si....."

we obviously recomended the tC (not just to plug my car, but because i actually like it more, i had issues with the Si, seats were too narrow for me, not a fan of the styling, and i like torque to back up my hp numbers, but to each his own) and the gentleman walked away....

i just thought this was relevant because of all the conversation about the topic on these forums....

anyways....

on the issue of the is250.......it was awesome, if they made an is350 with a stickshift option, lexus would be sitting on a goldmine.
RWD
306hp
6spd manual
comfortable and practical
decent mileage
Reliable

i could keep going

i still have a smile on my face....

in person the new side mirrors are just fugly enough to ask "what were they thinking?" obtrusive as heck in person. big ol' flags upright from the body line. trust me, check them out at a dealer.

the paddle shift doesn't bother me, could still hit the points.

I'm not feeling the new IS... the lines are too sharp.. I'm sure if I see it more often on the road the design might grow on me but i still think the previous IS300 pwns.. but the power on the new ones does make my pants feel uncomfortably tighter

That reminds me of when I went to the local Infinity dealer to take a gander at the G35. The salesman came out and asked if I had any questions about anything. I said I was just looking. He then proceeded to start asking me about my tC. We ended up talking more about my car than we did about the G35.

I do agree with Griever, I don't really like the looks of the new IS. I like the lines of the older ones a little better. Still looks sharp though.

well since i work at Lexus I get to drive those things all the time they rock. I've been telling the owner of the dealership for months how he should bring up the idea of making the IS350, GS300 and the SC430, a 6-speed option. They would quickly reel in the cash. But, then again, the new Supra is really seeming to be a possibility...

the new IS is cool, but the 306 HP i think isnt living up to its number. My friend with a 2005 Mustang V8 auto spanked an IS350 from a dig and a roll. I also dont like the actual shape of the new IS, its just weird IMO.

However, the IS300 looks like a mob car and i love it!

As soon as the new Supra comes out i will be one of the first to own it.
