I have fake s-tech's on my tC... So where should I go on ebay to make a claim? do i need to take pictures or anything like that?

-JoKeR- 04-21-2006 07:03 PM

i had the business that installed my springs write me a letter to the person who was assigned to my claim saying that my product was checked for authenticity on a company letterhead w/ contact information - i also printed out the pages on tein.com showing how to tell what was coutnerfiet and what wasnt and also took pictures of my prodcut comparing it to teins website.....that was optional...only a letter proving you had them inspected, proof of payment (depending on how you paid) was needed

i filled a dispute with ebay claiming my product was not as described and then i got assigned a representative who further assisted me

Hello,

I have been assigned as the Adjuster for your Purchase Protection Claim

In order to complete your claim submission, additional documentation is
required. The required documentation described below must be received
before we can begin processing your claim.

1) Proof of Payment

If payment was made using a check or money order, please send a copy of
the cashed payment. You can contact your bank or the establishment the
money order was purchased through if needed to request a copy of the
front and back of the cashed check or money order.

If payment was sent via an online Payment Service such as PayPal, you
can simply print out and submit a copy of the online records for the

bank documentation or records relating to the payment may also be
acceptable.

If you paid with a credit card (either directly or through an online
payment service other than PayPal), proof of denial of reimbursement
through the credit card company is also required. This will typically be
in the form of a letter from your credit card issuer.

2) Appraisal of the Received Item

(Note: An appraisal is not required if the merchandise has already been
returned to the seller or if no merchandise was ever received)

The Appraisal must be based on an independent authenticator's physical

SUMMARY: My springs are good, and I believe in starting a listing of known good dealers ASIDE from the list on Tein's website of authorized dealers. Mods, do what you will, or leave it alone, don't matter to me, I just don't want to see anyone ripped off. Read on for more info.

I am editing this post because I believe it should be facts only. I was in the boat once of being unsure, but now that I have a lot of detail, and have researched a lot, I feel safe in posting this.

First off, I checked thoroughly all over my springs and box, and the springs purchased through the ebay seller "swervemotorsports" are authentic Teins. Swerve is NOT an authorized dealer BUT the company he has them shipped from is.

Swerve is located in NY, and they apparently do business with RZ Motoring of Tampa, FL.

My shipping label shows the sender as:
Shipping Dept
(813) 849-0328
MCD of Tampa
3602 West Cypress St
Tampa, FL 33607-4916

Tein.com shows that address as an authorized dealer:
RZ Motoring of Tampa 3602 W. Cypress St. Tampa FL 33607 813-873-2235 813-873-8935 www.rzmotoring.com

I am not the seller, or related to anyone at Swerve Motorsports, BUT I believe in starting an area to list good sellers to get the springs from at a reasonable price.

This advice as good an any: When buying ANYTHING in the internet, please use caution. -Joker- Was gracious enough to post above what to do incase you fall victim. Please use that as a tool, as well as posting here who you bought it from so others don't fall victim.

Mods, if you want, use this post as a sticky until Tein gets a handle on this. I feel the info in this entire thread could be useful to a lot of people.

Well, I just compared the box and springs I received against Tein's website, and they both pass ALL the qualifications on Tein's website.

Never trust the photos on Ebay. That should be Ebay's first rule. People will use source pictures from just about anywhere. But since we're on the subject of the photo, they are showing authentic Tein's and their box. The yellow on the box is the right tone, and the springs have the numbers being printed in the correct way.

haha no they're not man, look closer - the yellow is a darker tone and the box is all busted up

but anyways im not gonna argue over something like that
