*VIDEO* my glowing brake rotors
I had my friend tape my bed in procedure last night with my Hawk DTC-70 race pads in preparation for our track day this Saturday at Streets of Willow Springs. Since race pads only work at higher temperatures, it means putting a lot of heat in the system to get them bed in. this means about 10-15 stops from 60-10 followed by 3-5 stops from 80-10. Theres a lot of energy being absorbed by the brakes so I knew the rotors would be glowing by the end of the runs. Unforutnately my camera isnt the best in low light so it doenst show up as well as Id hoped, but you can clearly see them lighting up. Apparently in person it was much brighter. Ill be doing another set of stops later in the week so I might have another better video after that.
