I'm on coils and need help getting my camber corrected and also my caster..
my coils have the plates on top..
can anyone help? suggestions. Thanks in advance

 

first thing i would do is make sure that the camber plates are installed correctly and that they are zeroed out.

post a pic of the top of the plates please.

 

Which coils? Do the coils even have camber plates? Buy camber bolts. And there generally is not a fix for caster, and caster will not hurt driveability.

 

Rear camber is adjustable.
Use crash bolts in front (or camber plates)

 

I have caster plates on top of the coils (Ksport)
what is a good brand of Camber bolts to buy?

 

if you have camber plates...which you do, you dont need the camber bolts. just loosen the 4 allen screws up on the plate and slide the strut left or right to zero out the camber... the rears have factory camber links that you can adjust a little...wont be exactly 0, but it can get close

 

If you took your car to an alignment shop, and they didn't touch your camber plates, wouldn't go back...

 

not every shop touches the camber but i always fix it if it's possible, now if someone brought a car on coilovers and didn't mention that they have camber plates on top then i wouldn't fix it. just because you have camber plates you can't assume that where ever you take the car they will know, opening a hood is like opening a trunk. why open the trunk if you have no business there at all. if the place you took it to gave you some sort of warranty, then take it back and just tell them that you have adjustable top camber plates and if they can fix it when they really should

 

Those alignment numbers are way off. I'm surprised the shop didn't use the camber plates...

 

I agree with Aciddrop... I never mentioned that I had the plates.... so the guy never opened the hood...
I got a lifetime alignment, so I can bring the car back as many times as I need... and they are a brand company... so they have many stores here in florida.. so I know if the guys there suck I can take it somewhere else...
I will take a look at the camber plates and see if they are off and will be taking the car back...

your welcome, i work at a tire/alignment shop so i know how things work around when doing the work and we are only supposed to touch the toe and not the camber but if a car has the adjustments then i go ahead and fix it. plus it looks better on a printout having more green sections than red and people want me to align their cars instead of the others, but yeah just take it back and tell them that you have camber plates and how they are adjustable.

 

Like the others have said, let the shop know of the camber plate adjustment for the front. The caster isn't adjustable, just camber and toe for front and rear. Camber adjustment for the front can be done with adjustable camber bolts that can be bought at any parts store or online, if the coilovers have adjustable camber plates at the top of the strut it's not needed.
