This exact post already exists. Nobody seems to be having problems...I run it and have no problems! Supposedly, running trd springs on trd shocks wear out the shocks prematurely. However, I don't know if this is 10 or 10,000 miles prematurely. Who knows? When they wear out, buy the TRD shocks THEN!

Im suprised TRD hasnt recommended the new shocks to me. So i just threw those springs on there.

I have the TRD springs on stock shocks. Approaching 6,000 miles and it's still fine.

Spect2K3 - You meant that TRD springs on stock shocks wears them out prematurely, right? I would hate to think that the TRD shocks wear out prematurely when used with the springs. Just wanted to clarify...

yeah... premature is relative.. i have been running TRD springs from the time my car about 1200 miles. (may of last year)... still running stock shocks at just alittle over 30K with no issues.,..

i guess if you are use to having shocks last 100k miles and these wear out at 75K then it would be premature.. but like i said... so far.. 30k and no issues..

It's been over a year for me of spirited driveing and a ton of miles with no poor effects.... save your money and buy them later if you have to, but not until then.

I've had mine on since late April and no real problems so far. The ride isn't quite as firm as i want with the stockies because i think the rebound is a little too strong, it tends to make the ride a little bouncy over certain kinds of bumps. All in all not bad, but i want to get the struts sometime soon.

Sounds good to me! I'm glad I don't really need to buy them then. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

i doubt you will find an install for that price...of course i live in a completely different area, but thats just my opinion...best bet, self install, and take it to get aligned...running around of 1in drop wont kill the car, as long as its only for a short time

I know your in the OC area, but there's a store in City of Industry,

Autohaus
17999 Valley Blvd
City Of Industry, CA
(626) 912-7499

I know they charge between 60-75, they do a great work and fast too if you have an appointment.

Alignment, you can go to any firestone tire station and pay 150 for lifetime alignment, thats what I did. But you should wait till the springs settled in for awhile before you get an alignment.

I'm running stock struts with TRD springs, and while the setup isn't a "problem", I also feel it's far less than optimal. It's a real compromise of both handling and ride, as the struts aren't designed for the higher spring rates. I'm sure going to TRD struts would improve the ride a lot by providing better control of the spring motion, compared to how it feels now, but I just don't want to part with the (considerable) cash.

It's been 47000 miles and my shocks are fine with TRD springs. I'll eventually switch when the shocks give but that could be a while.

I've got 5 months and probably close to 10k miles on mine.... no problems (except I had to tighten the middle strut nut a couple times cuz my springs were used when I bought them and already settled).

Amazing, mine are still running strong "knock on wood" its been almost 15K now. I'm also waiting for my stock struts to blow before switching to TRD's...

Just got a set of TRD Shocks, Struts and Springs. My thought was if I'm gonna be doing all the work, do it all at once. And since this is the crazy season and work and the OT if pouring in, what better time.

Will have FS stock springs, struts and shocks. 2K miles, short money
