here is a video my friend sapan made of him and his friend's autoxing in their tc's. i'll give you a rundown of what they are running.
sapan (kanundrum):trd supercharged, trd springs and shocks, hotchkis front and rear sways, 225/45/17 all season tires
mehr (ashiva): coilovers
travis: stock suspension, but the man drives with some serious ballz! he has an awesome raceline.
the rest i don't know about, but this should give you a good idea with some actual action video.

Sure is
The sway was doing its thing for sure! That was a fun track. It is like a mix of a mini road course and an autox course. That is in the middle of the first slalom. I pushed it a bit hard and had to tap the brake to get it to rotate for me, and someone happened to get a pic right then. Pretty fun stuff !

i think you finally convinced me that the trd bar is good enough...
im still new at this and get killed in my class, lol. well, then again, i'm in sm2 (damn turbo, haha) with all the fast coopers and heavily modified cars.
my setup just includes tein basics and crappy falken fk451's (245/40/17's)

I went before. Had alot of fun. My suspension includes: Tein SS-P's, Front strut bar, rear sway bar and BF Goodrich G-Force tires.
There was another tC there, not sure how it was modded but was lowered, but she didn't do as well as me.

Dont feel bad, I am in a VERY tough class as well around here (STS). STS is super competitive and always has a couple of older modded civic hatches to ruin your day
Those cars are cheap to mod and light as a go-cart. Very tough to compete against. Not to mention we have plenty of drivers that end up at nationals each year and have been autoxing for 20 years or more (our club has been officially running autox events longer that scca has). So I dont feel bad at all about being mid pack. I pax'd 61st out of 135 cars last weekend, and given the drivers out there I am pretty darned happy with that. Was about dead middle of the pack in my class as well. My goal this season is to be finishing in the top 3rd in sts by the end of this summer. More seat time (25 runs at the test n tune in july!) and some tweaking of the cars alignment will help a good bit for sure. Things I want to get are:
Alignment
A set of easilly removable harnesses to keep me in place while driving. Takes more attention to hold yourself in place with your legs
A set of rims with some Azenis on them for track days.
Next year.. maybe a set of tein ss-ps so I can properly corner balance and tune along with a hotchkis sway set to further stiffen it up. But by then I hope to have a house .. so I can get the ok from the lady to spend more on the car again :D
Nice pics by the way guys!

I'll be putting my front sway on this weekend... so that'll be front sway on soft, rear on stiff, front strut bar, hotchkis springs, injen intake, and KDWs. I'm running out of simple mods to do that'll help though. I'll be getting a TRD exhaust soon, but that won't really do anything.
Yep, top half is where I am right now.. so no complaints. My class has two coopers, 3 hatches with very good drivers, an rsx-s, a couple of integras, a modded neon with a damned good driver, some Vw's and some random others.. those are just the most regular. So pretty tough competition for the most part, which is cool by me.
Getting the tC to rotate is the key. Right now I can get it to rotate fairly easy, but it still wants to push on me more than I like on really sharp turns. On longer turns I can edge the back end out a bit to point me in, which is great. I love he TRD setup, but will probably outgrow it during my second season and want to go with the more agressive hotchkis setup. It also doesnt help that I am running my street tires right now either. But when it pours rain, the Avons hold just he same, so I am loving them then!

Actually it seems my problem is me not pushing the car hard enough. I take it easy and it runs good when i know the course well. then when i think i push it even harder to a point where i think i may loose control but my time ends up being less. I think i can go even farther just gotta know my proper limits accoridng to the way my car is setup.
I tried a different approach the last time out. We always get 5-6 runs per event (much nicer than scca events). So I make sure to walk the course at least 4-5 times in the morning. My first run is too fast. I take everything too hard just to see where the car can run faster and where I take out a set of cones
I then tune my runs from there. Usually I do that the first run of the morning set and the first run of the afternoon once the track is heated up further. A lot of the really experience guys will do that every run. They will either take out a ton of cones, DNF, or put down an incredible time. Usually they do the latter at least twice a day so they are in the top of thier class.

We usually get at least 6 runs at our SCCA events, but we have a small region. Usually 50 drivers for the day depending... We were going to get probably 8 at one event, but someone wrecked, so that killed an hour or so.
We manage to get 6 runs with 130 - 160 cars per event, so they do a good job of keeping things moving. The upcoming test n tune is what I am looking forward to. 2 courses, 25 or so runs if you want them and possibly a skid pad as well. All for $40 :D So say bye bye to my 6 month old Avons after that one
Around here it all depends on who is running the event, and how many people show. The most I've done is 11 runs at a test and tune. At the end of the day it really gets hard to get a couple tenths faster, so fun.
