Anyone with cut Tein S techs? Or any springs.Hows the ride?
Hey guys im thinking on cutting my dead coils on my S techs...any idea how much lower will it drop it and will iteffect anything on the ride? thanks.

I wouldn't cut it. you're giving up more than just looks. the performance, and the structural integrity of the springs will be jacked up. i wouldn't call those dead coils cuz every bit of that spring contributes to spring rates and height. you cut one bit of it off especially if you don't do it right will screw it all up. i had a friend that cut his springs and the moment he hit a pot hole the spring came off his shock.

But no, don't do it, reason being as TRDizzle said springs are heated up to mold the shape that they have and the drops they provide are byproducts of the heat, by REHEATING it (when you cut it) you lose internal strength of the springs, so the first pot hole you hit hard, or just over time in general that ____is gonna have a sad ending for you.
Kimby has something like that on his tC but i feel bad when that kneegas springs give out
just check the classifieds and get some used coils, usually they'll go for nice prices
