im thinking of getting one and wanted to know if you have to cut your panels or anything?

 

i think you may have to do some trimming to make the fitment good.. i could be wrong, i just thought i remembered reading something on that. if you're looking for rear rigidity, i dunno if the c-pillar will do all that much for you. it looks pretty badass though IMO

 

Yes, you need to cut the panels, and IMO, it's probably not worth it. Won't give you any noticeable difference.

yea cutting holes in the panel is the only way, if done right, you can cut them exactly to the size of the bar and might slip through it. I was able to cut the hole perfect enough that it doesn't show any spacing in the panel. Its more for looks but it does look awesome!

i just took the panels off and never cut and still works just looks odd cause its bare. just becareful because when u have the c-pillar people really cant sit in the back of the car cause they might hit there head on the pillar.

 

nobody sits in the back of mine, just a carseat and a baby, he wont be hitting his head anytime soon

 

I like mine a lot. I felt like it made the rear stiffer, especially with our glass roof. I want to cut my panels so it doesnt look so bare, but I don't mind.

 

Might want to try the Ingalls bar that goes under the floor for stiffness.........unless you just wnat to have a shiney bar............I like shiney bar look but use the back seat so it is out for me.......

 

just put some padding on the bar and its not unbearable sitting in the back

i had the megan c pillar, but i thought it would interfere with the people sittign if there ever are people sitting in the back so i ended up giving it to my friend

dont get the c-pillar i found it raelly worth less and the rear passengers will nag bout it till u finally hear enough and take it off if u really want it ill sell u mine btw i jus took the whole rear piece off so i didnt wanna cut into my panels

i have pics on my cardomain page, look up user name scionic_boom... btw, it really does interfere with ppl sitting in the back, thankfully i dont use it often, and when i do, i have really short friends anyway... but i like the look of it i guess, ...will try to take more pics later

 

i have the rear side curtain airbags.can i still add dthis? i dont care about back seats since i dont have one.

 

i dont think you can, the air bags might be where the pillar bar bolts or if not, at least very close to it... but dont take my word
