Default Anything bad about Hotchkis?

So I got a set of Hotchkis springs and i went to precision muffler to get it installed, unfortunantely Gabes compressor has hookis that don't fit within the coils of the spring so he recommended me to another shop, but I'm thinking about selling the Hotchkis and getting some H techs because a guy i talked to yesterday said the only guy he knew with Hotchkis were having prob's with the rear springs. Is ANYBODY on this board unsatisfied with their springs? Oh and the guy at the other shop is chaarging 50-100 more for the install, Gabe's an awesome guy and I might just get the H techs to give him business.

I have zero complaints about my Hotchkis springs. And I'd totally recommend them to anyone else looking for springs. The ride is great. The stance is perfect.

Yes, the rears are a bit difficult to install. But it can be done. What I'd recommend is take off the strut assemblies yourself and take them to a Midas or Monroe or something. Have them swap the springs and then just install the strut assemblies again.

Never had a problem with Hotchkis, the rears are the only pain, but it will work.

That price wasnt even a hook up, just a regular shop.

Best bet is to call around local shops, get some prices. The hotchkis springs come with instructions and new bump stops, so its all bolt on and go.

are the hotchkis springs a lowering spring or just stiffer replacement for stock?

Lowering springs, its the perfect drop too. Levels out the car.

Tourque wrench is not necessary, but an air impact wrench will help a lot. I did mine myself. Fronts don't require a spring compressor, just a buddy to hold down the spring while you screw the lock nut on. Rears are a pain, even with the spring compressor I couldn't do them because they're wound so tight. I took them to Mytee and they assembled them both for $30.

Just be sure everything is lined up the way they show in the instructions, or there will be problems.

As with any lowering springs, the ride is a bit stiffer, so expect those all too common tc rattles on rougher roads. Other then that they look and handle great.
