Bad Master Cylinder WTF yo

Bad Master Cylinder WTF yo
So out of nowhere my brakes seemed to become less n less and then I finally had to stomp on them to avoid rearending someone and I could hardly stop and ABS kicked in for no reason WTF right. Checked the lines, no leaks, fluid is full and pads are still 50%> along with the rotors. Bad master cylinder was the only thing the mechanics in the shop I work at could come up with. I've got ~75k miles on my car been boosted for about 15k of those and have had absolutely nothing break on it.
bottom line am just having bad luck or has this happened to other people too?

After letting my tC sit for about a year, I had to replace 3 of my calipers (they were seized) and lube up the one remaining one, also was some air in the brake lines, but luckily no problems with the other parts of the brake system. gotta go through it piece by piece to find the failing points.

Honestly, master and slave cylinders are a pretty common thing and a relatively easy fix for a mechanic. I wouldn't sweat it.
Is your car auto or manual? Upgraded clutch? Could be stressing out the master cylinder.

yeah its all good now i got it fixed and while bleeding all the calipers found a little air in some of the lines that definitely not helping lol. still surprised that it went out on a 75k mile car
"thequietthings" its a manual and on a stock clutch
"roller_toaster" i believe that the clutch master cylinder is the same as the brake master cylinder so same problem, my clutch was still perfectly fine though and i had almost no brakes
