Default is this bad for your car?

well i got bored today and thought hey why not drift my car to make a quick turn (my brain turned off for a moment). So i pulled the ebrake and started turning my car, everything went well but i was wondering by doing that did it hurt the car in anyway?

You might also throw off your alignment, break something in your suspension or even break motor mounts. I wouldn't recommend you doing it again. Unless you want to end up with a hefty repair bill.

Your driving an FWD car, you cant really "drift" an FWD car. If you wanna do that get a 240sx, 350z, is300, rx8, anything thats RWD. Then learn proper drift technique, IE: Heel-Toe Drifting. But even way before you attempt all that, I suggest you learn proper handling and cornering. Learn to stay in control first while taking corners at higher speeds. Why do kids always seem to get so inspired after watching those Fast and the Furious movies?

It is ok to do that if th street is full of snow lol. but wait... you are in houston TX.. Thats too bad. I do it all the time when it is slippery. I can do 360, 180 or a simple 90 degree turn lol. But there is no way I would do it on regular road on high speed.

it shouldnt damage anything unless of course you crash. Yes it puts more stress on bushing and the like, but not really more stress then driving hard. As far as brakes if my memory serves me correctly the tc's rear E-brake is actually a drum brake inside the rear disc.

"drifting" never really is a good idea but if your posting because your worried about damaging something dont worry too much. I used to "drift" my last tc alot. Raining out in a near empty parking lot at 1 in the morning and 180ing into a parking space. Just dont do it if people are around. If your having trouble finding a place, behind supermarkets at the whee hours of the morning can be a good place. But cops come quick and rightfully so.

Its not good for the Scion tC. If you want to do the powersliding or "drifting", do it in the rain where it's slippery or travel to the north where it has snow. I'm in Rochester, NY cuz I'm a college student and I've been doing a lot of slides on the snow and spins around 360 and so on. Its fun to do it in the snow but Houston, ofc I live close to it, does not snow at all, only one time in 2004 during Xmas eve and thats about it.

Get yourself some McD's trays to put under your rear tires. If you're smart about it, you can let off as soon as they wear through, and avoid balding your tires. I used to do this when I had my stock rims.
