Best pads for OEM rotors
Im looking for less brake dust, oem brakes seem to do me just fine getting around and havent had any problems. What pads would be best on the oem rotors, i was thinking EBC green stuff pads, heard they were pretty descent and havent heard anything negative about them. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
the ebc are good, ive used hawk on other vehicles and liked them as well but why stray from the stock pads? Im about as hard on brakes as you can get and i dont have any complaints with the stock pads. It would be nice to have a little more initial bite but that would sacrifice rotor life/dust/noise etc. The stock pads also deal with heat extremely well for a stck pad.
also check dezods new pads.

ive always liked porterfield's carbon/kevlar pads. can find them at www.porterfield-brakes.com Under the Porterfield brand, the r4-s street compound is the one for daily driving.
EDIT: And yes there isn't much brake dust with the R4-S compound.

I cant remember off the top of my head but when I changed my front pads last year I think I bought axxis ultimates. I think I bought them for $38/pair from some site that was just opening.

Well the decision is gonna be between EBC green stuff pads with are 85.00 bucks and Porterfield R4-S which i cant even find a price for. Do the porterfields wear faster than oem b/c im leaning more towards to Green stuff pads unless porterfield lasts longer and are just as good.

Not much brake dust with the R4-S compound. Very good bite and lasts a long time (wear), rotor friendly too.
