Default Brake Setup

I, like many others i'm sure, am looking into putting in new brakes. For me, I am going to do rotors and pads, but i'm hoping to hear YOUR setup, so let me know what your using!

Include:
1) Rotors - be specific - where you got em and what kind - review
2) Pads - both front and rear - review
3) Brake Lines?
4) Anything else you want to add!

Hopefully his thread can be helpful for many when it comes down to looking at the brakes!

StopTech Stage II Kit
1) Slotted Rotors
2) Axxis Ultimates
3) Stoptech SS braided Brake Lines
4) Motul RBF 600 Synthetic brake fluid

Stoptech's OEM Replacement kit - it gives you much better braking with much better pedal feel.

Excellent performance for half the price of a BBK.

i would get pads other than OEM, and i personally wouldn't go for ebay rotors. Rotors come under alot of stress, and i want something that i know the quality of rather than an ebay thing that i've never heard of.

i think it's a bad idea that you're buying rotors from ebay....

Drilled and slotted rotors are already prone to cracking, buying them from eBay is not wise because you don't know if you're getting quality or crap.

Too many words in "QUOTATIONS" on their "WEBSITE" for me. I get "NERVOUS" when websites use the words like "PREMIUM" and "CUSTOMIZED" to describe their "PRODUCT" :D .

IMO go with the Brembo plain rotors from Tirerack.

thats what I was leaning toward just b/c there is no info or reviews out on the rotorpros other than 1 or 2 that use em here on SL.

I got the plain brembo rotors from tirerack for a family members v6 camry and those things are heavy duty - way more durable and thick than stock. They seem real nice - i couldn't imagine warping or cracking them. But then again, you know you are buying quality from brembo and tirerack is as reputable as can be..

another vote for the Stoptech Stage II kit, it's what's on my car.

Brakes are critical, ebay isn't the place to buy the parts, neither is no-name brand items.

I should be getting my Custom 12.2" Wilwood BBK from fastbrakes.com here anytime now.
Brian is a great guy and can put together any combo that makes you comfortable.
The custom kit I got is the Wilwood Superlite 4 piston caliper, 2 piece drilled/slotted rotor, brake lines and Hawk HPS Pads...all for $900!!!
Check out the site and you might find a combo for you

12.2" is a BBK? Aren't the stock rotors 12"? You know you can get the full Wilwood BBK for $900...

Keep in mind - the Wilwood calipers are not free-floating. You will need to shim them to get them to sit properly with the pads centered on the rotor.
