Moving on now, they are sending a new one so all good. Car still drives fine with out it but not to sure if suspension is being effected with out a sway so im taking it easy on all turns.

Uh, hmmm...there is another thread here on SL somewhere that also had a Hotchkis sway snap in on them too. Guess I made up my mind which one I will not be getting.

I don't know why you're giving Hotchkis ____. If you're running your car hard enough on a public road to snap that bar, you deserve whatever results come your way. Any other suspension part could fail just as easily. And you know what? I can say that, as I wrecked going far too fast on a twisty road, and acknowledge that i could have killed me, my friend, and many other people.

It's a safe assumption that no lives were at risk on the track that this happened at.

keep in mind that mine snapped after 60k miles of abuse, i dont care what kinda suspension you own, thats the average lifespan of a suspension component especcciiiiallly if you abuse the crap outta it.

He was going 30mph

Everyone has they're own opinion right, freedom of speech yes?

I say if something breaks when it's not supposed to and it's a vital part then it SUCKS. Andrew there, maybe cos he's 31 yrs old, understands what I'm saying.

BUt if you others wanna continue buying something you know its faulty (so far we've heard of only hotchkis breaking, why not TRD? HUH? So the whole story of it being old is Bull$hit cos there are cars out there with TRD sways for 60k miles BUT they didn't break) more "power" to u

Cause TRD only makes a rear and the front undergoes more stress do to tunring and the weight of the engine.......If TRD made a front Sway and Sap put it to the test as he does with his car...Im sure we could get the same result.....Its not a faulty part nor is it a bad product....It has been pushed to its limits....Im sure people who race for a living would understand and not the daily work comute driver...THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BOYS BEING MORE STUBBORN THAN GIRLS!!!! That remark was useless!
When race car drivers snap axels, do you think they complain about the part and the manufacturer or maybe they understand that they have pushed it to its limit.....

and again i state the fact that it has been 60k miles and it took all my abuse, surprised it didnt happen earlier which is why i wasnt mad when it happened.

if you also look at the design of the rear and front sway youll see the diff of why its easier to snap a front then a rear as well. ther are more bends/weak points in the front compared to the rear.

I dont see how this became a argument, my sway broke, company replaced it, it happened cause its been abused not cause of a shotty product and the fact that they replaced it means they stand behind there product. Yes it did happen to someone else before but that was not after 60k miles of autoxin/driving that was a random event. Cars break down on us, my exhuast on my civic rusted it was OEM exhuast it happened at 70k miles it wasnt a crappy product it was use and time. No biggy.
