Default Check out what Munch and I found...

So heres the back story. about a week ago i was leaving a parking lot when BAM. I thought I bent a rim. I hit hard. I'm driving around and then I hear my suspension creaking everytime i hit a bump. I'm thinkin damn. That's a blown strut. I jack my car up to check the struts and I'm havin a hard time pulling the rubber liner out. Finally when I do, out pops a bump stop split in half. I check the strut and luckily the bump stop was the only thing wrong, Strut looked fine. I put the bump stop back on since I figured it was better then having nothing. I call up hotchkis, they send me new bump stops no questions asked no nothing which was really cool of them. PM Munch to get this done and today I finally got them replaced. Heres what we found:
Passenger side:

Pretty messed up right? Check out the driver side:

LOL

Ouch... I read something the other day about someone's Hotchkis bump stop splitting also. And I recall them saying a replacement was sent quick and painless. Strange though.

At least they realized they were manufacturing them from recycled turds, and don't hassle anyone about replacing them.

Hotchkis makes good stuff for cheap. You just have to take care of it. I must say there are some things I should have probably slew down for in the past which probably lead to this. The sway you should just make sure it doesnt start to rust. The one I saw that snapped was rusted through.
