There's probably only one person that can answer that and I don't think he's been on here for a while, also don't know what shocks/struts he's on. I wouldn't recommend it and when it's all said and done you could have gone with a proper suspension setup. If you haven't gone through a set of shocks yet then you'll def be going through them faster. Remember one posted that the ride height raised a bit, and this was on a car with H-Tech. The TRD shocks are best setup to work with TRD lowering springs, also any spring with a similar height reduction and spring rate will work well.

Answer: No.

NEVER EVER chop springs..it rides like crap and you are totally effing up the spring rates that could be potentially hazardous in a situation that would require you to make a quick steering reaction (i.e. avoiding a potential accident).

If you want a cheap alternative for going lower just go with rokkor (i think that's what they are called?) or raceland coilovers..I would trust those over chopped springs any day.

Also - yes the ride is retarded bouncy..my rx7 had chopped springs in the front when I first bought it and I couldn't hit a single bump without feeling like the car was going to fly out from under me or like I was on hydraulics..it was literally nauseating to drive. Just to add to that - I only drove it that way MAYBE 15-20 miles total.

No one does it right. That is like asking who eats $#it the right way. No matter how well you season it, you are still eating $#it.

Where on earth did you get the idea that cutting your springs is a good thing? Let me guess someone who has a riced out honda with a giant fart can? Do it if you think its cool! Dont if you have an ounce of common sense! Your choice! Pimping the Auto is not cool!

If you want to be doing the Bankhead Bounce while cruising down the street, then chop those springs. Rolling on Rokkors/Raceland isn't that much of an improvement slammed either.

Get some Stance coilovers as it seems you want to get the car to the ground.

Cutting is stupid. Do it the safe way. Get 5 of ur most heavy set friends, have them all jump in the trunk and go ahead and take a blow torch to the springs.
