if you want real low you won't be getting any better performance and you'll actually be hurting performance. just a fyi. anyway, i've got teins on my car and love it. suspension install isn't so bad either, i didn't even need a spring compressor.

someone (raamaudio?) said about 1-1.25" of drop is perfect.

i know my tein basics can go from 1.4 to 2.7 (from what I remember). I wouldn't lower more than 2, and even that's pushing it.

get progress coilovers.

they automatically lower the car 1.5 inches, thats how i would leave it. no height adjustment needed.

Best coilovers on the market are from H&R Springs. (www.hrsprings.com) H&R coilovers are tested and proven to provide the best performance. I'm sure other H&R coilovers people can vouch for that as well.

H&R FTW! they give the best of both worlds....great drop, and by far the best ride and handling. one of the very few with a dead spring to smooth out bumps. try allsprings.com for the cheapest place to find em, or dezod.com for a site sponsor.

If you want to drop low (2" or below), you'd be best going with any of the "clone" coilovers by Megan, KSport, D2, etc. If you care about performance but want to follow the rest of the herd and not do too much research, TEIN is a good choice too. However, if you really do care about performance and a smooth, compliant ride, H&R is one of the best choices you can make.

best bang for the back performance coilover i would have to say is the ksport.

best coilover regardless of price would probably be Zeal. anything they make is good.

teins are stiff, and more expensive than the ksport with less ability to adjust. progress is probably the best newbie coilovers, they come adjusted.
