Default Coilover Decision - Gauging Opinions

Just trying to get opinions on some Coilovers for my 05 1st Gen tC. I've narrowed it down to either Tein Basic or FF Type 2 Coilovers. I'd like to get opinions from those that have or have had them before, and which one you think is better.

Thanks.

The only review you should listen to is from those who have run both. Otherwise its going to become a popularity contest of who has what for the most part.

I currently have TEIN Basics....I like a lot just wish I got a set w/ Adjustable Dampening...

I would HIGHLY suggest you get the TEIN SSP version w/ the adjustable dampening & Pillowball mounts.

Tein and FF are great coilovers, but have you looked into d2 coilovers for the 1st gen? I'm currently running them on mine and I've got to say they're great best bang for your buck.

not to throw a curveball at you, but have you checked out H&R coilovers at all? I have bought two sets and love them!

I have FF type 2 and love them. you will for sure need a set with adjustable dampening. I had mine at 16 out of 32 and it was super rough and stiff ride. Now I have them at about 4 its basically the comfort of stock springs. also depends how low you are trying to go. Im on the stock 17s and I have the front maxed out already and have basically no wheel gap (I can still go lower on them though), on the rears I have them at -1.7 camber and slightly tucked. the coilovers themselves can go lower on the rears without any modifications.
