What do you want coil overs for? Are you looking for a great performing vehicle with adjust ability in dampening and camber? Are you wanting to "slam" the vehicle? What is "cheap" to you?

You can always buy used. But for under $500 you can go with Racelands or Rokkor's. Both are the same in all reality. They do not offer much as far as adjustability to the ride. Mainly height. If you want to shell out more cash, all other coilover's are within 400 bucks of each others price, but right near 1K.

Best drop i heard was a Stance, which is what i currently have on order. Not that im going to slam my car or anything.

You could always go with the Tein Basic Coilover set which I believe sits at right about 1k.

http://www.hopupracing.com/suspension69.html
i got my d2s here but they have other brands. plus they have really nice prices right now with free shipping

Basics are well basic, they only adjust height

SSPs allow for stiffness and height adjustments

the d2s are hieght and stiffness they arnt the best in the world but for daily and some track days they are perfect for me and my wallet

Mengmotorsports.com also has other brands that are good and wallet friendly. Function and Forms 1 and 2 for example

theres been alot of cases of people with racelands coilovers needing to seek warrenty within a year. they seem to be hit or miss but what else can you expect from a ebay brand coilover?

Why did you choose the D2's over the ksport or the tein basics?

a couple people i know run them localy. a friend let me drive his TC with them.. man they are nice!! also at the autocross ive seen some run them for a little over 2/3 years now. so i know they can take the abuse, for city driving i can soften them up and lower em more for that nice stance. at the track i can stiffen them up and raise them for the perfect balance of traction and handling. for the price its a win win and easier on my wallet :D again these arnt the BEST but they arnt the worst either. atleast these are track and street proven thats good enough for me.

oh yea and these are supposedly rebranded Ksports but thats cool with me also. ive seen what these are doing and enjoy how they feel and ride. cant wait to get mine on. waiting for UPS to finish delivery :D

if youre looking to just slam it, go with rokkor tuning or racelands. i have rokkors right now. they are great for just daily driving. not for autox or anything like that. they slam pretty low too. follow my build thread in my sig if u want to see the difference it made from my stechs.

if you want more comfort or increase in performance and stuff like that, id go for teins. the only diff the basics and the ssp is that basics only adjust height. ssp adjust the height, and stiffness. they both offer the same height at around 2.7 inches.

if u want both to slam and for performance, i'd go with BG of form and function

f&f type 2 are a good choice. ive worked with them before. installed them for a friends car. the already come with the top mounts so you wont need to reuse your stock ones. and plus, the fronts come with camber plates already. so thats a big plus.

if your local, dont hisitate to hit me up if you need help installing them.
