Default Coilovers rubbing cv axle

So I bought these coilovers a while ago and when I finally installed them I noticed when I tried to lower it, the bottom of the shock is hitting my cv axle. Has anyone else had this problem or can someone guide me in the right direction to some coils that can drop 3’ to 4’ inches

That doesn't make sense at all. The shock body should be well-above the cv axle from where it attaches to the steering knuckle. What brand coilovers did you get and can you post some pics? I've lowered a few tC1's on Tein Flex's and never run into this.

I think they’re max speeding rods, I could be wrong and I’ll post some pics of it after work

That would make sense. Cheap coilovers are not your friends. Say no to cheap coils.. actually say no to cheap car parts in general.

I agree that cheap parts suck, but I’ve got D2 coilovers and I run into a similar issue. Thankfully at the height I like they don’t hit, but if I go any lower the bottom of the threaded strut assembly reaches down onto the coilover boot like OP said. I wonder if there’s an underlying issue…

Lol, I mean tbh D2 isn't much an upgrade over the coils the OP is running. Having ran Ksport's (rebranded D2's) in the past I wouldn't run them again, or any coils out of Taiwan (including Tein Basis). But if the issue is the threaded part threading too far into the coilover body, then just remove material to shorten the treaded part. Seems like the simplest fix and will be relatively inexpensive to do.
