Coilovers vs lowering springs
I have an 09 TC and am looking to get either coilovers or trd or the eibach lowering springs .. Everyone says coilovers give a firmer ride while lowering springs give a bouncy ride.
What is better? Pros cons? Please!

First, What Type Of Coilovers Are You Looking Into.
Coilovers,Briefly are height adjustable,More Stiff,So Your Giving away The Comfort For Performance.
Springs Are A Nice Smooth Ride Close To Stock, The Bounce On Them Is not Noticable.Would Reccomend S-Techs.

One Thing About TRD Products, You'll Always Want More.
RaceLand Coilovers Are About 300 but They Are Crap. You'll Need To Spend A Good 700-1500 For Good Coilovers.
Yeah Im Sure You'll Like The Drop And Comfort On Springs

If you just want a drop, I recommend Eibach.
They have a warranty better than anyone. They are designed to be used with factory dampers.
Personally, I use Ground Control coilover sleeves with race springs. It's surprisingly tolerable on the street. You can choose your rates with Ground Control, so if you just want an appearance drop, they can point you in the right direction. They also use Eibach springs.

Rokkor coilovers are similar to Raceland and they are pretty good for the price. people hate on them because they are cheap but sometimes things that cost less can be just as good as expensive parts. i am currently sitting on Rokkor and they are pretty good. no problems and the ride quality is more stiffer but not too stiff.
Me coming from 3 different Suspension set-ups.
1. Eibach Pro-Kit w/ stock struts (1.2" drop) - was a nice ride BIG improvement over stock height.
2. Progress Springs w/ Tokico Struts (1.8" drop) - I rode w/ these for 3.5 years..Awesome combo and ride it was like OEM
3. TEIN Basic Coilovers ( 3" dropped) - Awesome stability and corning and ride height.
Depends on your driving style too...When you lower your car you have to look out for EVERYTHING in the road...And be careful w/ SpeedBumps, Dips, driveways etc..
Springs & Struts will give a OEM ride feel.
Coilovers are Stiff & Bumpy when driving around.

Raceland coils do exactly what they need to do for an incredibly affordable price. They can slam your car for sub $400. If you aren't tracking your car they are perfectly fine for day to day use. Don't be a hater just to hate.
And as also stated Rokkor coils are very similar to raceland but offer a slightly high spring rate and a better warranty (2 yrs vs 1)
I myself am on racelands and have been for over a year. They are still working perfect. My fiance is on Tein S Techs and they ride wonderful. She wanted to simply get rid of the wheel gap, so we went that route.
Most people who use coilovers buy coilovers so they can say they have coilovers.
If you're just going for looks, and wont drive it much, it doesn't matter what you use.
Personally, I race 16 times a year, and daily drive about 20,000 miles on the setup I use, and have for 2 years.
I might be able to get away with complete coilovers for less than I spent on my shocks and struts, but I don't want to risk a race, or worse yet, being stranded in a car dropped too low to get a jack under...

Spoken like someone that truly doesn't know what they are talking about.

I haven't had any problems with mine since i have had them and i am maxed out on them, daily drive my car 30+ minutes to work each day and to every show during the season. Outside of myself, none of my friends have had problems. There is a reason half the VW world uses them as well. Perhaps you just got a bad set. Have you taken advantage of your warranty? What does her being a girl have anything to do with it at all? If anything, generally speaking girls drive less aggressive than guys.
For instance, it is like hating on Burton, simply just to hate on burton with no real reason to it.
I never once said they were "soo good of a product" i said for the money they do exactly what they need to do and that is exactly what they do.

Unless you corner balance (at minimum) on the coils, you'll see no difference in handling. Coils don't mean god like handling. For a DD springs will do 100% what you need, don't waste the money on coils.
