so the rotors arent really huge they are 315mm dia they look huge behind the 16" winter wheels i had. Oh and the brackets well i made them myself did the design on solidworks, machined them at school and the anodized them black also at school.
The calipers are 4 piston with piston sizes 36mm and 40mm

I did notice a difference in the braking due to the increase in front torque the abs will engage a little sooner of course stickier tires will prevent allot of this.
I do have brackets made for a rear kit. However those were made to use the 996 tt rear caliper with a 13.5" rotor, which would increase the need to go larger in the front to maintain proper balance. Of course on street tires you dont have near the grip to fully utilize more brakes.
Pads can be quite cheap to very expensive, the ones i used were 40 bucks.
As far as how much i have in this setup..
i spent around 450-500 dollars for the complete set-up here is a breakdown
Calipers 225.00
Rotors 25.00
Stoptech stainless lines 85.00
Pads 40.00
various bolts, hardware ect. 50.00
Aluminum for custom brackets 25.00 plus about 25-30 hours machining and anodizing
It is nice having access to anything i need to do custom as long as I can find the time to do it.

ebay always has alot of used porsche calipers, the one i used were fitted to the 996 911 carrera as well as the boxster s. I think i had bought a full set front and rear for about 500 sold off the rears to make some money back. Sometimes its just a matter of getting lucky on ebay as i have found new stoptech 6 piston calipers for 700 ish
I thought about making brackets to sell, just out of curiosity I wonder how many people would want them? and how much they would pay?
Oh yeah remember what i said about getting lucky on ebay...

lol well no the ones for this are 130mm spacing, i just couldn't pass up the 6 piston for that price. There is no guarantee that those 6 piston ones would work for the tc i will have to get them and see how big the pistons are. more than likely they will be to big, but i have other projects they will prob be good for. Oh and the other place to look for the calipers i used for my kit is car-part.com they usually have a few for decent prices
