my friend has some aircraft aluminum and i was wondering if its a good idea to use them as strut bars. it might look a little ghetto but a little spray paint can fix that.

i know that you cant/shouldnt use it for sways bars since they cant be too stiff.

but its ok for front and rear struts right?

 

sure why not...but why not just buy one? its cheap and fits perfectly without you having to do any measuring or machining.

 

the front bar is about $200 shipped and the back is about $40 shipped. not very cheap.

 

i've seen cheaped out strut bars...

it wasn't pretty

 

guess i'll keep the hood closed...

 

or you could just get a ebay strut bar for cheap and put on a sticker or paint it or something. metal is metal. it works whether it is 200 bucks or 20 bucks, does the same thing
