Anyone else get the anoying noise from the stut bar...when the engine is on and causing vibration, one of the wiring harness's under the hood, heating or some crap, rattles causes its hitting the bar...anyone else have this problem..im loosing my mind... how do i fix it, i was gonna put a thin piece of foam inbetween

everyone with the DC bar in their tC has had this noise. All you have to do is look at that connector that is touching your car, and unscrew the scre that holds it on, then zip tie the connector somewhere else.

 

I used foam tape....and no noise

 

Is this with the 5 speed and Automatic cars, or just one or the other.
The reason I ask is because my wifes Xa engine shakes when she is stopped, and the car is in gear. It had the same noise and we had to use zip ties. He car is an auto and my tC is a five speed.

Yeah, I had it for a while and yesterday I put a sticker that had this padded matterial and stuck it onto the connector that's hitting it so it's ok now

my brother has a auto tC and his doesnt make this noise. I have a 5 speed and mine did.

 

Hmmm...just had mine installed yesterday. Didn't notice any strange noises. Are y'all referring to the wiper motor wiring harness that runs alongside the strut bar?

 

Man am I glad I'm not the only one with this noise. I can't wait to fix that - it's driving me BATTY

 

Two inches of foam tape (like weatherstripping). Never make a sound. This isn't rocket surgery.
